| Slammin'
This is a slammin' funk tribute. I say tribute because is harkens back to the days when black music was dominated with real bands that played their own music and had great vocalist, sometimes the musicans themselves like The Commodores, Gap Band, Instant Funk, Dazz Band, Brick and many others.

| Crossing cultures and genres
If I didn’t live here, I’d feel more love for License to Funk. It’s a well-made, sincere funk album by the Swedish jazz trombone player, and his band is solid, including Ray Parker, Jr.
