Sara Evans (The Early Years) songs
$12.69 Based in the Atlanta, Georgia area, the Peavine Creek String Band has been in existence in some form since 1976, and the current configuration has been together since 1996. We play old-time music for contra dancing and square dancing. We also perform in concert at festivals (Bear on the Square, the Roswell Heritage Festival, among others) coffee houses, private parties and wedding receptions, singing a varied collection of old country songs. We play regularly for the Chattahoochee Country Dancers and have played for dances in many venues in the Southeast. We began singing when our good friend Lewis Wills was in the band. We lovingly dedicate this CD to Lewis, now of Asheville, North Carolina. Lewis shaped the band, and taught us so much about old-time music and traditions. Doug Olsen plays the 1966 Martin D-35 guitar that he got while still in high school, as well as a custom 2003 Altman guitar made in Georgia. Doug played trumpet in elementary, middle, and high school. He has played guitar (folk music, blues) ...

Sara Evans (The Early Years) CD music
$25.35 MATT MINGLEWOOD. !Guitarist, pianist, singer, songwriter creates an inspired blend of country, blues, folk, roots and rock. Both on record and on stage Matt keeps the music thriving, interesting and vivacious. After a dozen recordings and thirty plus years of touring from Cape Breton to Vancouver, Europe and across the United States he has earned the respect and loyalty of thousands of devoted fans. Matt grew up in North Sydney, Nova Scotia in a large and loving extended family of twelve. At an early age he remembers sitting on grandfather Batherson's knee listening to him, completely enthralled by his fiddle playing as he bounced him up and down. At the tender age of four he sang in front of his first audience, singing a couple of Gaelic songs and the writing was on the wall. At the age of six he started fiddle lessons, moved on to the piano at eight and by his teens was in love with the guitar. He joined his first band, the Rockin' Saints' in his late teens playing organ and rhythm guitar. His early influences were eclectic, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, BB King but also local fiddle players such as Winston Scotty Fitzgerald and Buddy MacMaster. By his early twenties Matt went on to join a band entitled Sam Moon, Matt Minglewood & the Universal Power. This band soon evolved into the Moon Minglewood Band. They toured the country extensively and became known as one of the hardest working bands in the country. By the mid 70's they morphed into the Minglewood ...

| | Hathaway, D C & Friends It Sure Feels Good/Songs Of D.C. Hathaway CD (2007)
Sara Evans (The Early Years) album
$20.29 DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!! D.C. Hathaway has been entertaining ageless audiences from Boston to Nashville and to Las Vegas with his music, talent and versatility since the age of 12. Though raised in a small, central New Hampshire town (Claremont), D.C. was influenced by many artists through the years of various genres such as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, Chuck Berry, The Doobie Brothers, The Eagles, The Moody Blues and many Christian artists. He formed his first group, 'All His Children', performing throughout New England for Country and Gospel audiences for nearly 3 years. At the age of 16 D.C. made regular appearances on The Twin State Jamboree radio show on WTSV as a member of The Dusters where he occasionally performed with The Baron Of Country Music, Dick Curless. He re-routed his musical talents the next few years towards Rock and Roll and Rhythm and Blues occasionally sharing the stage with his dearest high school friend Carey Rush (see link page). Unlike his fellow high school students that experienced typical summer vacations, D.C. and his band 'TRAZ' (formed with his good friend Jerry Donatelli) spent summers on stage opening for oldies performers Gary 'U.S.' Bonds, Chuck Berry, The Shirelles, The Cowsills, Danny and The Juniors and Frankie Valle and The Four Seasons. "TRAZ" called the Holiday Inn in White River Jct. , Vermont "home" 6 nights a week for 5 years. In 1979 D.C. brought his talents to Boston where he performed not only as a solo artist but also as a bass player and vocalist with his dear friend John Penny and 'The John Penny Band' (see link page) along with Robin Right, Liz Boardo and another dear friend...Elvis impersonator Stan Jr. Nashville recording artists JoDee Messina, Blake Shelton, The Judds, Mickey Gilley, Ricky Skaggs, Hank Thompson, Barbara Fairchild, Louise Mandrell, Dave Dudley, Freddy Fender, Penny DeHaven and Ferlin Husky have all shared the stage with D.C. Hathaway and his talents. Such talents led him to several 'Massachusetts Country Music Awards Association' (M.C.M.A.A.) and 'New Hampshire Country Music Awards Association' (N.H.C.M.A.) honors for 'Band Of The Year', 'Male Vocalist', 'Bass Player', 'Album Of The Year' and "Best Duo" with female vocalist Chris Anders. In 1985 D.C. moved to Nashville to pursue another musical passion!songwriting. Although he had been writing since his early teens, D.C. didn't really know how good or bad he was as a songwriter. During his pursuit he settled in Dickson, Tennessee where he got a job at WDKN/WQZQ as the morning drive disc jockey. This popular ...
