| | Zen Gallery Revival CD (2006)
Further Down The Path album
$12.65 Zen Gallery - RevivalZen Gallery's CD Revival is an earthy, acoustic-rock offering--with a twist. A collection of adeptly crafted, minimalist compositions, Revival delivers throwback soul and bluesy, acoustic moods.Sparse acoustic flavors and layered electric guitar textures provide a potent, down-to-earth backdrop for the soulful and bluesy vocal styling of Paul Bracken. Bracken delivers strong, mature vocal performances from start to finish on Revival. His inimitable blue voice is immediately accessible and real, as evidenced by the deeply emotional ballad "And So It Goes." The style and balance of Revival is related in part to Paul Bracken's natural ear for music, timing, and song writing. As co-producer and cowriter, Richard Cowdrey worked the cutting room on this effort, providing editing, mixing and mastering services out of Zen Studio. As a performer on Revival, Richard Cowdrey provides a range of organic acoustic guitar styles, such as the layered acoustic and slide guitar work on "For the Life of Me." Richard Cowdrey also delivers diverse electric guitar styles and sounds, from the percussive and expressive Edge-type electric guitar work on "Don't Look Down" and the musical epilogue of "Say Good-bye," to dreamy, crisp echo'd lines that end "And So it Goes." Richard Cowdrey also provides authentic, analog tones and feel on the Bob Dylan classic "All Along the Watchtower." While Cowdrey's version follows closely the song that Jimi Hendrix made a part of modern musical consciousness, it borrows strongly from the arrangement by the great guitarist Frank Marino, of Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. Steven Thellen, co-producer, provides eloquent and masterful keyboard work on Revival, as well as world-class mixing and mastering work done at his Meritage Studio. Revival also provides listeners the rare opportunity, until his upcoming CD release, to hear the guitar solo work of Elliott Cowdrey. The song "Wounded Heart" (and "Between the ...

"Strong powerful musicianship combined with intense lyrics straight from the heart" - All Access Magazine.com / Mar.2007-----------------Judge Jackson Todd McTavish - VocalsRyan Rogers - BassLee Jackson - GuitarJ.J. Garcia - Drums This Los Angeles based group formed in the summer of ’95 when Guitarist Lee Jackson, Singer Todd McTavish and Bassist Ryan Rogers met through a mutual musician friend. At years end, One Diamond collected several awards including “Best CD of the Year” and “Song of the Year” for the opening track “King” at the All Access Magazine Music Awards. During 2004, the band focused on writing songs and worked to develop a business plan to help them maximize opportunities in an ever-changing music industry. As changes transpired and the dust finally settled, Drummer J.J. Garcia joined the fold permanently. Judge Jackson, now solidified and revitalized, was ready to take the band to another level! In 2005, due to strong word of mouth and demand, One Diamond was re-released nationwide and the band toured across the US several times to support it. “Amazing” and “Times Been Changin” from this revitalized release received airplay on over 35 radio stations across the country!
