Zasetsu Chiten album
$13.15 Long before Madonna started changing hairstyles between albums, David Bowie set the standard (and continues to do so) for chameleonic music styles that go beyond mere hair dye. CHANGESBOWIE is the perfect road map that allows the listener to hear the different pitstops Bowie made into the mid-'80s. Throughout the '70s, Bowie's personas included space alien ("Ziggy Stardust," "Suffragette City"), theatrical raconteur ("Rebel, Rebel"), blue-eyed soulster ("Young Americans") and Thin White Duke ("Golden Years"). After spending time in Berlin under self-imposed exile ("Heroes"), he returned to the West and within a few short years, David Bowie was back on the top of the charts thanks to a dance-rock collaboration with Nile Rodgers ("Let's Dance"). Bowie's constant need to reinvent himself is so pervasive that upon originally releasing this collection on Rykodisc, he returned to the studio and recorded an updated, '90s remix of "Fame" that sounds as if Art Of Noise were his back-up band.

$13.15 Full Armor is a Christian band consisting of six young adults. The band gets its name from the Bible passage found in Ephesians 6: 12-17, where Paul dares us all to put on the "full armor" of God. The band does so through their music. Every song written and performed by Full Armor is spiritually moving and melodically stimulating. Full Armor recently finished their debut album, Against the Flow, which released on January 5th, 2007. The band is very anxious to spread their music through their album and performances, and welcomes all opportunities to do so. Full Armor was formed when the pastor of a local church explained to Douglas Q. Hutchings (the bands manager) a strong need for a youth ministry at his church. The pastor went on to explain that his goal was to have one of the church's ...

$16.19 SILVER 2007 PARENTS' CHOICE AWARD WINNERCHILDREN'S MUSIC WEB AWARD WINNERiPARENTING 2007 OUTSTANDING PRODUCT WINNER Brava Robbi K!Reviewed by: LAHRI BOND, ©2007 Parents' ChoiceRobbi Hall Kumalo (or Robbi K as she is called) crafts a joyful, exuberant music celebration of both life and childhood. Backed by a group of highly professional musicians including Irish fiddler Eileen (Riverdance) Ivers, Folk/Blues musician Guy Davis, African bassist Bakithi Kumalo and even Jon "Bowzer" Bauman of Sha Na Na fame, Ms. Kumalo performs unashamedly positive and uplifting music. From the percussive Hip Hop opener of "Feel The Beat" to the kid-led, bluesy, blissful title track; both parents and children will find themselves dancing and singing along. There are lighthearted tunes as in the playful "Eating Some Pizza," as well as soulful and quietly educational moments as in her powerful rendition of the traditional "The Legend of John Henry," which she sings with absolute authority. Robbi K's "Music Is My Friend" is jazzy and joyful, while her version of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic "My Favorite Things" swings. She even engages some good old fashioned 50's style Doo Wop on the educator pleasing "I Love My Teacher", aided and abetted by some very tuneful kids and the ubiquitous Bowzer. The album concludes with a gorgeous melding of traditional tunes on "The Peace Song" which incorporates a Latin chorus and bits of "Amazing Grace" and "Got The Whole World" into one seamless prayer for peace, backed by Iver's soaring and sympathetic violin. ******************************************************************************"African-American jazz artist Robbi K's third album for children features one traditional and ten original upbeat songs. This outstanding album features rap, calypso, rock, jazz, blues, classical, and Cajun musical styles. Her sultry alto voice is joined by virtuoso performances by guest artists. A must purchase for all libraries." — Beverly Bixler, San Antonio Public Library, TX“Songs That Rock, and Are Kid Friendly, Too” – The New York Times“Robbi has sung backup for artists ranging from ...
