This reissue is what re-masters are all about. While the original master of UFO's HEAVY PETTING buried the quintet's sonic attack in a muddy mix, this one rediscovers their power and mints the band as a crucial link between early-`70s blues-based hard rock and late-`70s British heavy metal. Every track sounds exhilarating here--including the way-over-the-top electric harpsichord on "Belladonna"--and will rekindle any rock fan's love for these under-appreciated shredders. This reissue includes five previously unreleased tracks, all worth the price of admission for longtime fans.
Remastered with 5 bonus tracks 'All Or Nothing', 'French Kisses', 'Have You Seen Me Lately Joan', 'Tonight Tonight', and 'All the Strings'.

MICHAEL SCHENKER'S GUITAR PLAYING IS OUT OF THIS WORLD, ON THE CD. I HAVE A FEELING THAT THE SONG "TONIGHT TONIGHT" WOULD HAVE HAD A GUITAR SOLO IN IT IF, RELEASED ON THE ORIGINAL ALBUM. BUY THIS CD NOW. Submitted by TOM (JOLIET, ILLINOIS USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 2 of 2 found this helpful.
MORE INFLUENTIAL THAN THE SEX PISTOLS In the 70's, UFO, Montrose and a couple others were the alternative to the commercial hard rock of the day. Many teen guitarists who rejected bands like Boston and Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac as music for their older sisters, learned to play along with UFO's simple but brilliant Sabbath meets Elvis original style. Many of these teen guitarists wound up in either the Metal or Punk scene. Vocalist Phil Mogg was also an influence on new singers who couldn't or didn't wan't to sing in the high pitched style that was so popular at the time. This album is their peak and with the great bonus songs at a great price, you should try it.If you study the album cover, you'll see everything I just wrote is the truth. Danny Peyronel put UFO on the right track Everyone and anyone who knows and loves UFO now aknowledges that Danny Peyronel's influence and songwriting is what put them on the track that later made them more legendary.
As a reviewer on the amazon site says: who knows what could have been if he had stayed...I tell you what: they may have reached the very top league that they were perfectly capable of, that's what!
The fool who rants about Danny in a silly one-line comment below, obviously has a personal problem with him...either Danny owes him money, slept with his wife, or, worse, he has a secret crush on our Dan!
THERE ARE NO UFO FANS WHO DON'T KNOW DANNY PEYRONEL!!!
That silliness just shows the ignorance of a nobody. Submitted by kfcrecords (New York, NY, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
No Heavy Petting I always thought No Heavy Petting was one of the best 70's albums, I like Lights Out but I always thought this one was just a little better. With the addition of the unreleased studio tracks, you can't go wrong with this one! Submitted by Moondog303 (FL, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Starz Violation CD (1977) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
No Heavy Petting CD music
$10.45 Starz' sophomore album, Violation, was quite similar to its predecessor. Jack Douglas was still the band's producer, and Starz continued to favor the type of slick, commercial hard rock that would be called pop-metal in the '80s and early '90s. This 1977 LP didn't establish Starz as major players in the pop-metal field; the New Yorkers did have a small following, although not a huge one. Nonetheless, this is an enjoyable record. It doesn't contain any pop-metal masterpieces like Kiss' "Shout It out Loud" or Sweet's "Ballroom Blitz," but tracks like "Cherry Baby" and "Rock ...

No Heavy Petting music CDs
$12.45 Up until their 1974 album, PHENOMENON, England's UFO had issued several albums that did little to expand their cult fan base at home, let alone worldwide. But through an early-'70s tour with German metallists the Scorpions, they finally found the missing piece to the puzzle--guitar wizard Michael Schenker. UFO convinced Schenker to ...

After almost five years, the vile, nasty, spunk-filled world of Placebo has refused to go away. Marilyn Manson has turned a satirical eye on his own media status and even Suede have since come to swoon over girls "shaped like a cigarette." Yet it's Brian Molko that's steered his band from premature randiness (Placebo) to fearful regrouping (Without You I'm Nothing) without once batting a makeup-smeared eyelash. Black Market Music finds Molko in such moody lust that his strangled, androgynous wailing rivals anything the band has previously flashed to the world. Whether it's the dripping, slithery punk circle of songs like "Black Eyed" or the choir-boy enthusiasm of others like "Special K" (strangely echoing Midnight Oil's "Warakurna"), Placebo seem to have finally found that sweet wet spot between beauty and perversion. Even at its worst (the "Block ...
