SYSTEM percolates with thumping grooves and electronic beats, but the album still has a dreamy, glossy sheen. Even uptempo tracks such as "Amazing" and "Dumb," wash over the listener like waves, with Seal's emotive, textured voice high in the mix. Despite a misstep (a sappy duet with bride Heidi Klum on "Wedding Day"), SYSTEM proves to be one of Seal's best albums.
For SYSTEM, his fifth studio album, Seal hired producer Stuart Price, the man responsible for Madonna's disco-oriented comeback album, CONFESSIONS ON A DANCE FLOOR. Price's touch is all over the album, which brings Seal's smooth, atmospheric soul-pop back to the house-music roots of his early-1990s debut.

what can you say really............ Seal does it again. truly a gift for me to hear. he continues to break the rules for his genre (whatever you would call it). i don't like hearing that he's pop, so i'll call it 'unique'. Seal is certainly a unique artist and man. god bless Seal!

 This album is a hit!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I first hear that Seal wanted to release a dance album, I was very afraid it was going to be 11 songs that all sounded like "The Right Life". But to my relief, this album is quite diverse in styles. This is one of those albums that you can put on and let play all the way through without skipping songs. IMO, Seal has topped his last album, Seal IV but still hasn't beaten out the unreleased "Togetherland".

 A fun, upbeat, and great sounding album
Awesome sound on this album! I just can not get enough of the first song "If its in my mind its on my face". Absolutely awesome song with crisp synthesizer lines and drum beats. Seal sounds great too.

Seal's back at it again, this time with some serious dance feel. Seal claims that this album signifies a return back to his roots with Stuart Price taking over as producer.
I must admit at first, the use of electronics was a bit heavy for my tastes. Given a few listens, this album grew quickly.
System is a lyrically meaningful and a personal album for Seal. As each song is great in it's own right, my fav's are "If It's In My Mind, It's On My Face," "Immaculate," "Just Like Before," and "Rolling."
This is one of the few albums out there with unskippable songs. A great album.

From the spacious, catchy title track that kicks things off, HUMAN BEING continues Seal's unique brand of pop craftsmanship. Filled with the pure, soulful vocals, dramatic compositions and airy arrangements that resonate with Seal's worldwide audience, the album is another fine addition to his canon.
