The dead need playtime!
Alan Ormsby scared the crapola out of me with this zombie low budget fest. The last ten minutes ,pardon the pun, were "to die for"!

GREAT!
I remember seeing this as a 9 yr old.
It scared the hell out of me. I was glad it was still daylight when we got out of the movies. I always remembered it but haven't seen it since. I'm sure now it will seem corny but can't wait for my kids to see it as they love scary movies.

little known classic
Brilliant over the top acting, in particular from alan ormsby who subjects us to a tour de force of acting
range of Oliverian standards.

Isn't that scary folks?
This movie scared me as a kid when they used to show it on Channel 9 in NYC back in the day. Much scarier than the Excorcist. The only movie that can rank with "Children...." is "The Other" made in 1972. You shouldn't expect a crisp print however. This is a low budget film and the picture is what it is no matter what the format.

A Must See For Zombie Movie Lovers
I think the first time I saw this move was when I was about 9 (35 now). I loved it then and now after all these years, I still love it. Yeah, it's corny and the acting isn't that great, but when the dead rise up, it's pretty cool. I am a Night of the Living Dead fan, and I can say that Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things is just as erie. I watched it with my 9 year old, and we laughed...we cried! Orville gave her the creeps! But we both laughed when Jeffy tinkled in his pants!!! Poor little Anya, (what a nutcase).
