One of the things I strive in all my performances is to breath new life into songs that may have become dated in the musical world. I also wanted to take this time on this CD pay homage to some of the great singers that have affected my voice, and the vocal map of Jazz singing as a whole. Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Louis Prima, and Louis Armstrong all are singers that are well worth revisiting. I also have formed myself as a scat singer over the past years. It is an art form that is not touched by many current Jazz singers, and even fewer males out of this genre. The band on this CD is also worth the listening to.
