$7.29 DIO: Ronnie James Dio (vocals, keyboards); Vivian Campbell (guitar); Claude Shnell (keyboards); Jimmy Bain (bass); Vinny Appice (drums). Following the extremely warm reception given his self-named band's well-deserving debut album, Holy Diver, Ronnie James Dio figured there was no point in messing with a winning formula, and decided to play it safe with 1984's sophomore effort, The Last in Line -- with distinctly mixed ...

| | Nominon Remnants Of A Diabolical History CD (2007) (Import)
Against
$18.55 NOMINON was formed in January 1993 by Juha Sulasalmi and Peter Nilsson. As a duo they released two demos; Daemon I and II - both in 1993. The music they played back then was a mix of Death Metal and Black Metal, and the demos were spread only in the Swedish underground. In the fall of 1995 NOMINON became a whole band with the following line-up: Vocals - N. Holstenson, Guitar - J. Mattsson, Guitar - C. Cederborg, Bass - T. Hellman, Drums - J. Sulasalmi.NOMINON played their debut gig in February 1996 with DISMEMBER, DISSECTION and VERMIN. The same year they released a demo called "My Flesh". Cederborg got fired and Sulasalmi took over the guitar duties and they got Emil Dragutinovic as their new drummer. The band also recorded a new demo called "Demo II '96".During 1997 they played a few gigs and in August they recorded a promo tape, simply called "Promo '97". After the recording they kicked out Tobbe and David Svartz replaced him.Two months before the recording of their first album in 1998, bassist Lenny Blade, from the Thrash Metal act INCINERATOR (which also includes Jonas Mattsson on guitar), replaced David who was sacked out from the band. In October the same year NOMINON entered Studio Sunlight to record their debut album "Diabolical Bloodshed". After the recording NOMINON did a couple of gigs in Germany. The debut CD "Diabolical Bloodshed" was released via X-TREME RECORDS on the 15th of November 1999. After the release NOMINON played some festivals and started negotiations about a suitable deal with a major death/grind label. After lack of interest in the band, drummer E. Dragutinovic and NOMINON parted ways during 2001. He was replaced by Perra Karlsson, an old world drummer and a friend in the Swedish metal scene.Further line-up problems followed nine months later when longtime vocalist; Nicke Holstensson was released from his duties due to lack of interest. Later in the year three tracks ...

| | Mongrel Fear Lies & Propaganda CD (2007)
Against
$9.59 Formed with the belief that "punk" meant freedom and not just a "spirit of '77 sound" or a certain fashion requirement, Mongrel was born in September 2003 with that freedom in mind that allows the blending of the intensity and energy of old school punk, with the memorable hooks and riffs of hard rock and the early 90's Seattle scene, and that extra biting edge of metal. Since that time the band's evolutionary course and heavy schedule of shows have brought them to where they are today as one of "5 Bands to Watch" (Hippo Press, March 2005) and one of "5 Bands to Discover" (Hippo Press, November 2005) in the local music scene. Mongrel has also been featured in Revolver magazine’s “Raw Talent” section (Nov. 2005), and was cited in Metal Edge magazine as “the hardest working band in Boston” (Jan. 2006). Mongrel has opened for such bands as the Misfits (5x’s), GWAR, Dizzy Reed (Guns N' Roses keyboardist, 3x’s), The Exploited, Prong, Otep, Wednesday 13 (Murderdolls singer), Michale Graves (ex-Misfits singer, 10 shows, including two 4 day mini-tours), Blitzkid (20 shows, including two 8 show tours), The Independents (4 shows), Trashlight Vision (20+ shows), Piggy D’s Evacuation Plan (Rob Zombie bassist’s side band), Mushroomhead, Hed(pe), and All That Remains. The band has received airplay on WAAF, WBCN, WFNX, WGIR, WHEB, WUML, and various other college and internet radio stations locally and around the world. Mongrel has played at venues such as The Palladium (Worcester, MA, 3x’s on the main stage), CBGB’s (NYC), The Middle East (Cambridge, MA), The Living Room (Providence, RI), The Webster Theater (Hartford, CT, main stage), The Asylum (Portland, ME) as well as many venues in between, averaging 70 or more shows a year, with 105 shows in 2006. Mongrel has played in 12 states including; Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Mongrel’s full length album, “Fear, Lies, and Propaganda” was recorded at Moontower Studio in Cambridge, MA and mastered by Grammy award winner, Jay Frigoletto at Pro Mastering in Brookline, NH. “I Refuse” and Mongrel’s cover of the AMEN anthem “Coma America” were featured on the 2006 Rat Pak Records compilation. The song “Shut Your Mouth (Open Your Eyes)” was featured on the 2007 soundtrack for the Solomon Mortamur film, It Came from Trafalgar, and their song “The World Loves a Tragedy” is set to be on ...
