| | Tha Westronauts Cosmic California CD (2007)
Intro To A Villiain music CDs
$13.15 Fighting for true Hip Hop, the Westronauts come from Long Beach to take you in a different direction. A direction that deals with three different styles of emcee’s that come together to make Hip Hop Harmony. The Westronauts are here to put some realness back into the game. Westro music has something for everyone. Songs that have a message to motivate body and soul. The Westonauts let you see all side of this Hip Hop triangle while still representing from the Coast that raised these emcee’s.Long Beach has yet to see a group like this come from their roots so deep. They will wonder where did C.I.M focus, Serendipity and Space Vers come from. Their name must be right, they must be from another planet, because you ain’t heard nothing like this come from the West Coast in a while. C.I.M focus which stands for “Christ Is My Focus” heads this 280i camp that has been together since 1999. This educated emcee rips the microphone with thought provoking messages that speak to most people in a struggle. Then you have the gifted lyricist Serendipity with rhymes that will keep your head spinning and wondering where did he get his flow from. Space Vers keeps it all at ground level, street, that is when giving you his gift. This emcee’s conscious and hard core flow along with his track producing skills on the album finish this group up to be a lasting force in West Coast and Hip Hop History. In 2001, under the original name Eternal Eruption, the group released the EP “Let it Flow” under their independent label 280i. This was their first recording together, ever, so the album was raw and unpolished. With tracks like “Kill em all”, “Hot”, and “Space Dip” these emcees came with a political street flow that invited you to get a message from the streets while also giving you a lesson about who they are individually. “ We was on the Blue Line for five months straight doin’ self promotion, just so cats could know who we were ”, says focus. In 2003, Space Vers and emcee Sensimilla formed tha Westronauts. Childhood friends and former members of Undaground Movement, the two recorded “Blow Sick Muzik”, while Vers remained an active part of Eternal Eruption. After the sudden and senseless murder of Sensimilla in 2003 , the group felt that it was only right for them to let the group name live on. Now known as Tha Westronauts, a lot has changed with these men. “The new LP Cosmic California” stands far apart from the first EP. The collection of songs on this album has something for everyone. The lead track “Comin’ Thru” is a raw up-tempo track that introduces each emcee properly, while also spotlighting the groups arrival as a whole. When asking the question ...

Intro To A Villiain music CDs
$6.99 The Verve Pipe were one of the handful of post-grunge bands that had a hit in the mid- to late '90s that was ubiquitous, and then had the bottom suddenly fall out from underneath them. That hit, of course, was "The Freshmen," a pained, earnest mid-tempo dissection of a relationship gone wrong that the band's lead singer/songwriter, Brian Vander Ark, wrote years before the Verve Pipe had formed. Starting as an acoustic ballad, by the time it turned into a radio hit it was given a brooding sensibility, heavy on heavy guitars and echo, that didn't just fit into the post-Nirvana landscape of '90s modern rock, it epitomized how alternative rock was no longer underground -- it was a commercial juggernaut. If the Verve Pipe never had another hit to match "The Freshmen," it was not for lack of trying, nor was it for lack of material -- as their first hits compilation, Platinum & Gold Collection (re-packaged in 2007 as Super Hits) proves, they had similarly hooky material that fit well into mainstream alt-rock radio. And they did have other hits, like "Photograph," "Villains," and "Hero," but while sturdy, none ...
