SKETCHES FOR MY SWEETHEART THE DRUNK is a posthumous release of the material Jeff Buckley was working on before his death in 1997. Disc One includes the studio sessions for what would have been his second album, produced by Tom Verlaine. Disc Two includes Buckley's 4-track home recordings of works-in-progress, plus a live recording from the studio of WFMU.

Recorded between 1997 and 2000, released two years later, Capolinea is Aton's' discographical testament. It could be considered as a solo album by Pietro Ratto, since he wrote all the material and produced the recording sessions at his own studio, only bringing in bassist Vito Frallonardo and drummer Riccardo Lombardo to complete the rhythm tracks. As a result the album lacks a true group feel, which doesn't prevent some powerful songs. Let's just say Capolinea doesn't rank as Aton's' best effort, but it is not a self-indulgent finale either. "Introduzione/Star" kicks some serious behind with a crunchy riff and odd time signatures flying by faster than you can count them. "Oltre Me" and "Il Fratello" are also possessed by a lot of virtuosity -- Lombardo is simply one hell of a prog rock drummer. "Come Me" and the beautiful, acoustic guitar-led instrumental "Sonata" showcase Ratto's ballad side. When he pushes his voice too much he sounds like a hair metal frontman, but in more subtle songs he truly reveals his Italian nature -- "Come Me" and "Sempre Solo" will please fans of vintage Italian prog, despite the electronic drums in the latter. Ratto did not rush this last album and he did not make it longer than it needed to be (42 minutes). Commemorating Richard Rodgers' centenary, this compilation presents recordings of 25 songs the composer wrote with his second major collaborator, Oscar Hammerstein II, from the early '40s to the early '50s. Rodgers & Hammerstein went on collaborating until Hammerstein's death in 1960, but the 2002 album is able to present tracks recorded only up through 1951 because it is taking advantage of the 50-year European copyright limit on recordings to assemble recordings originally released on various labels but now in the public domain.
