Miracle Of The Kane Gang CD music
$18.39 Over the years, the sophomore curse has plagued many talented artists, who showed considerable promise on their debut albums but failed to make good on that promise when they recorded their second albums. Gratefully, that wasn't a problem for Cerrone, whose sophomore album, Cerrone's Paradise, only strengthened his reputation in the Euro-disco field. This 1977 outing is similar to Cerrone's 1976 debut, Love in C Minor, but without sounding like musical recycling. On the original ...

$14.79 Shake Faithful - EmpathyStreet Date: June 18 2004 Release Party @ NYC Knitting Factory (Tap Bar) john biz - vocals, guitarryan barfield - drumsbrady schecter - bassarik abel - keys, guitar"Flip-flops in December, for the first time I can remember," so begins "Teach," the opening track on Empathy, the debut from Brooklyn's Shake Faithful, bandleader John Biz expressing wide-eyed astonishment at his new surroundings. The 25-year old songwriter had just moved into a giant open loft in an ex-sweater factory with the intention of recording an album. While Biz found unprecedented inspiration in the new environment, the kind of building where friendly neighbors carry instruments from room to room in summer sandals, the political storm brewing in the outside world changed directions chaotically on a seemingly daily basis. Within weeks, the loft - which was to double as a living space and a recording studio - was tricked out in vivid psychedelic colors by Biz and his girlfriend, Nancy -- artists by trade, housepainters by necessity. With the multi-color womb set up, recording began for Empathy in earnest on January 1st, 2003. The next year was spent constructing the disc from the bottom up -- experimenting with instrumentation (two drummers were used on several ...

A family rooted in gospel music, his father, mother and family were great influences in his development of musical talent. Cobe started his hobby of music at age 10, playing the drums for his church. Later, he then started playing the drums for the church choir. Cobe wanted to learn how to play the piano. Knowing that he already had a musical gift,Cobe was trying to play the piano, organ and synthesized keyboards. He would practice playing the piano while listening to albums every chance he got.A few months later, Cobe played his first song on his baby sister's toy organ she had got for Christmas. At age 18, Cobe was playing the organ for his church and the adult choir. During his youth, which came in the wake of both the collapse of the Black Panther Party and the rapid rise of the drug- gang culture of Crips, Bloods, and the LAPD , Orb’s family made a difficult move to Las Vegas hoping to begin a more stable life for he and his siblings. As a young teen growing up in Vegas, Orb grew to love hip-hop music and culture and found inspiration in the golden era of the hip-hop diaspora. The positive messages of resistance, struggle, knowledge of self and having fun communicated throughout the music were like water in the desert for a young Orb trying to understand and overcome his many life challenges. For a brief time, the family attempted to return to Los Angeles, where they had lived for generations. But this effort was marked by life in homeless shelters and hardship, which prompted the family’s retreat to Las Vegas. ...
