When Fionas father dies, Shrek is next in line for the throne in this $319.8 million-grossing movie. Bonuses: commentary, additional scenes, making-of featurettes, music videos, trailers, DVD-ROM. In the third installment of the wildly popular SHREK series of computer-animated movies, everyone's favorite hygienically challenged green ogre (voiced by Mike Myers) faces both parental and royal responsibility when his wife, Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz), finds out that she is pregnant and that her father, King Harold (John Cleese), is on his death bed. The shock of these revelations leads Shrek on a journey with his loyal companions Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) to seek out another heir to the throne--an awkward young boy named Artie Pendragon (Justin Timberlake). Waiting in the wings is the scheming Prince Charming (Rupert Everett), who sees the perfect opportunity to make his own bid for power and rallies a villainous crew to attack the castle.
Taking over the reins from director Andrew Adamson, Raman Hui and Chris Miller fill the land of Far, Far Away with even more fairy-tale characters in SHREK THE THIRD. Although this takes away from Shrek's own screen time, it introduces the highly amusing Princess Squad--which includes Snow White (Amy Poehler) and Cinderella (Amy Sedaris)--and the bullying Lancelot (John Krasinski), among others. And, as always, this SHREK outing features many pop-culture references, even managing to nod to two horror films (THE EXORCIST and ROSEMARY'S BABY) in a single shot. The movie also allows for more hilarious interplay between Donkey and Puss in Boots, resulting in a comedic adventure tale that, while over-populated, is still undeniably entertaining.

I liked this Shrek alot, the reviews are harsh!!! These are pretty harsh reviews on a somewhat kids movie.I honestly thought the other movies were slow, and boring, and this one was funny.Truthfully everyone thinks the firsts the funniest because it was the first.Everything was new,and fresh, and the second's was the worst to me.I mean a Fairy god mother that's not nice. That's not funny. So to each his own... Worst so far.... Still not as good as the first and second one, but did have some good laughs between the characters, some pertaining more the adults. I found myself bored during certain parts. I thought it drug a little. I would wait until it came to Dvd, but if you have kids they will be entertained with all the music & laughs. Submitted by lw (Iowa) Was This Review Helpful? $15.05 The fire and fury of WCW's weekly programming is all captured on MAYHEM. Possibly the best wrestling album release yet, the album is a mix of original entrance themes and picks from today's hottest rap and metal artists.
The original tunes are well produced and tight. On "Make Some Noise," all the wrestlers proclaim themselves the baddest in the land, screaming out their popular catch phrases. The Golberg theme, "Invasion," is a militaristic chant that can now be cranked in all its glory on home stereo systems. On the Nirvana-like "Self High Five," Diamond Dallas Page proclaims "you love me, you hate me, you'll never forget me." A live version of "Seek and Destroy" from Woodstock ...

Shrek The Third DVD
$15.05 THE SANTA CLAUSE 3: THE ESCAPE CLAUSE, the third installment of the popular holiday series THE SANTA CLAUSE picks up with Everyman-turned-Santa-Claus Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) just days before Christmas. Not only is toy production behind schedule, but another special delivery is on its way--Scott's wife, Carol/Mrs. Claus (Elizabeth Mitchell) is pregnant. To add to the pressure, Carol's parents are coming for a visit, prompting an emergency make-over for Santa's Village (into a nondescript Canadian town) to protect Scott's true identity. With all this on his mind, Santa is more than happy to let his fellow seasonal icon Jack Frost (Martin Short) step in and help out. But Frost has an ulterior motive: angry over his secondary-figure status and longing to have his own holiday, he tricks Santa into giving up his reign, and Christmas falls into the hands of Frost. Scott, no longer Santa Claus, must decide between resuming his previous life or saving Christmas from the coldhearted Frost.
This film conveys the message that Christmas is about family and the human spirit--not commercialism. In addition to the holiday association, the film also encourages teamwork and problem solving through positive ...

Shrek The Third movie DVD
$23.45 With astounding animation, inspirational messages, and endearing characters, Pixar Animation Studios (THE INCREDIBLES, CARS) and Walt Disney Pictures have whipped up something special with RATATOUILLE. A rat named Remy (Patton Oswalt) lives in Paris with a dream (and the talent) to be a chef. Opting to raid the kitchens of Paris rather than the garbage cans and sewers of the city with his family, Remy is inspired by the philosophy of one of the city's most legendary chefs, the late Gusteau (Brad Garrett). One night, Remy can't resist practicing his skill in Gusteau's restaurant. While his guard is down, Remy is discovered by a klutzy young man, Linguini (Lou Romano), who cleans the kitchen. Together Remi and Linguini become a culinary duo, with Remy playing puppeteer by concealing himself under Linguini's chef's hat. Remy pulls Linguini's hair to direct his hands, helping to bring Remy's creations to life. Soon Gusteau's restaurant becomes the talk of the town--but would it still be the toast of Paris if everyone knew a rat was running the show?
The positioning of a city-dwelling rodent with a distinct palate and the aptitude to concoct mouthwatering dishes in one of Paris's finest eateries is the winning ingredient in RATATOUILLE's inspirational presentation. And Remy's brave conviction to break away from the pack and risk his life for what he loves and believes in gives the film a positive and heartwarming message for all ages.
In this hilarious ...

$15.25 Based on the Hasbro toy line that initially captivated kids in the 1980s, director Michael Bay's TRANSFORMERS finds two warring bands of shape-shifting alien robots renewing their intergalactic conflict on Earth. While the Decepticons, followers of the malevolent Megatron (voiced by Hugo Weaving), strive to take over the planet, the Autobots, led by the valiant Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen), are intent on protecting humanity. When young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) discovers that his new car is really the Autobot Bumblebee (voiced by Mark Ryan), it sets the stage for a massive giant-robot showdown.
A shining example of the Hollywood summer blockbuster at its best, TRANSFORMERS combines stunning CGI effects and thrilling action sequences with drama, humor, and a touch of romance. Featuring a large cast that includes Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Voight, John Turturro, Anthony Anderson, and Rachael Taylor, the film is anchored by LaBeouf, who always displays an engaging Everyman charm, whether he's running from colossal robots, interacting with his well-meaning parents (hilariously played by Kevin Dunn and Julie White), or pining for his gorgeous classmate (Megan Fox). While some TRANSFORMERS purists may be dismayed by certain ...
