Nature Boy album Product Description
Nature Boy album by Brad Goode was released Nov 13, 2007 on the Delmark label. Jazz trumpeter and educator Brad Goode is a musician whose credits in Chicago include leading the house band at the city's legendary Green Mill club and playing with Lee Konitz and Eddie Harris. NATURE BOY is another disc on which, in trusty fashion, Goode maintains the tradition of mainstream bebop for grateful fans of the sound. Without any nostalgic or retro affectations, Goode specializes in the freewheeling yet thoughtful vein of bop brass-masters Fats Navarro and Clifford Brown. His solos are never overlong and are possessed of poise and swing, making for as classy and straightforward a set as one could hope for. Jazz trumpeter Brad Goode is a former Chicagoan who now resides in Colorado, where he teaches at the University of Colorado in Boulder. He led the house band at The Green Mill for a dozen years and made numerous appearances at The Jazz Showcase with Joe Liner Note Author: Brad Goode.
