| | Corey Evan Not Afraid CD (2009)
Grand Prix Der Volksmusik- songs
$16.45 Born in 1978 in Chicago, Illinois as Corey James Singleton, "Corey Evan" entered the world with the last name of his biological father. Corey lived with his mother in Chicago, and in 1983 his mother married a Chicago preacher who adopted Corey and changed his name to Corey Evan Leak. With the unique mix of being the son of an African Methodist Episcopal preacher and having a mother who loved to fellowship with Christians from every ethnic group and denomination, Corey learned to worship with a vast array of people groups. As a junior in high school moved with his family to Rockford Illinois where he would attend Christian Life high school and become acquainted with a well-known national youth leader named Jeanne Mayo. While under Jeanne in Rockford, Corey learned to live life with a sense of destiny and to pursue his God given dream of leading worship. Six years after meeting Jeanne, Corey began to lead worship in youth groups and churches in the Rockford area and in November of 1999 Corey married the love of his life, Julie. Julie and Corey had two little girls and in the summer of 2003 moved to Atlanta, Ga where Corey's calling for leading worship really began to blossom. Corey led worship for a small church in Macon, Ga where his childhood experience was very useful. He served as the worship leader in Macon until he left to once again join Jeanne Mayo in Atlanta as she and her husband had begun pastoring a church in the metro Atlanta area. Current Corey serves as the worship director for Oxygen youth and young adult outreach ministry at the Tabernacle A/G church where Sam and Jeanne Mayo pastor. As worship director Corey and the Oxygen band lead worship on Wednesday nights for over three hundred young people on fire and excited about the love of God. In addition to leading worship in Oxygen Corey also preaches on a quarterly basis. Corey has led worship for several youth rallies and retreats across the southeast region. He has opened for a national recording artist, hosted and led worship for city-wide worship services, and led worship for an Assembly of God Georgia youth district Speed the Light ...
