This EP was recorded very shortly before I traveled to Sweden with the opportunity to perform my songs. I was going to be playing acoustic (well technically it's a classical) guitar and singing, and I wanted something that sounded just like what people would hear, that I could sell or distribute. For the EP, I chose six of the twelve to fifteen songs I would perform. They are all, thusly, the 'stripped-down' versions. Even something as nutty as Internet Junke was originally intended for more of a "band" sound, but for this, they got the "coffee house" treatment.This recording opportunity was extremely last-minute (I found out about Sweden about two weeks before actually leaving.. it's amazing what deadlines can do). As such, most of the songs on here have not been otherwise released in their "full" versions. These versions will come later.The track "Shapeless" is also on Ashes & Fire, my first album. The version you hear on the middle a nowhere EP 1 is closer to the original form of "Shapeless." It was designed as mostly warm acoustic sounds with the lower-pitched vocals. While ...
