| | Ron Curtis You're The Reason I Sing CD (2006)
EP album
$15.19 Ron Curtis' Biography: O Sing to the Lord a new song: sing to the Lord, all the earth. Psalm 96:1Mix a little of Gods grace and mercy together and you get the life and ministry of Ron Curtis. The road traveled hasn't always been easy and yet this journey I must take. Ron is a native from Detroit, MI. and a sound all of his own - he is true to the passion and splendid gift God gave him. He began singing in church at age 14.At age 22 Ron enlisted into the U. S. Navy where he spent 22 years. While in the United States Navy Ron stayed busy in the Army of the Lord. Everywhere the Navy sent Ron he stayed active in ministry singing and preaching at nursing homes, jails, local churches, youth meetings, and an active member in worship teams & choirs. He received invitations to sing the National Anthem at Navy ceremonys right up to the time he ended his career in 2000. Ron was chosen and honored to sing during a memorial service in honor of Martin Luther King at the Naval Base Norfolk Chapel. Ron bought his first guitar at age 27 while in the U. S. Navy and began writing songs. In 2000 Ron was blessed to complete his first music project titled, 'Take A Little Time'. Title song for the album that simply states 'If you take a little time to meet God in prayer, He will surely meet you there'. Ron knew it was time to end his career in the Navy of year 2000 and pursue Gods work fulltime. Ron began to prepare himself for fulltime ministry. In 2003 he was hired to a fulltime position as a worship leader. This position was another stepping stone in preparing Ron for fulltime ministry. Ron learned that worshipping God is a responsibility we have in giving back to our creator for the love, mercy and grace He freely gives us. While serving in this position as a worship leader Ron wrote over 50 praise and worship songs. It was during this time that Ron discovered a new love and passion through praise and worship. I greatly learned that praise and worship isn't just on the platform on Sundays but has to be done in the privacy of your home, you live it 24/7. It becomes your life and gift to God. {I give to you God all Glory & Honor for all I am and all I am to become. For without Christ I am NOTHING. }In 2005 Ron and his wife (Gennie) felt God leading them to travel and pursue the fulltime calling of ministry in music and preaching of Gods word. In May of 2005 God began to open doors for Ron to do his sophomore music project with producer, singer, songwriter Michael J. Nelson based in Franklin, TN. Ron and Michael began working on his new release, 'You're The Reason I Sing. ' In November of 2005 Ron released his sophomore album "You're The Reason I Sing" Produced in Nashville with world-class musicians including bassist-Kevin Stancil (Shirley Ceaser, Tramaine Hawkins); drummer Carl Albrecht (Ron Kenoly, Isreal Houghton); & gospel choir 'Genesis' directed by choirmaster Nathan Young (Kirk Franklin, Aretha Franklin, Carman). I give God all the glory for this release for without Him "I am NOTHING." My hearts desire is to present ministry not entertainment. Ron & his wife are devoted to sharing God's word through music & lifting up Christ one song at a time. Ron truly gives God all the credit, glory and honor for how God has used him in the ministry. His ...
