Hollywood Suicide, beauty and decay, fame and depression. Some pills and champagne, that was a popular choice of death among people in the show business era of the '50s. Get to the top, do it quick, being loved, being adored. Quit while your ahead, never let your fortune fade. A way of life rather than a name, but that's what a band coming from the dark side of the U.K chose. Four "fiends", two guitars, upright bass, sticks and skins and the common passion for debauchery, macabre and furious rocking. They call themselves Horror Punkabilly, mixing classic '50s Rock& Roll, fired up PunkRock and old time horror tainted lyrics. Close enough to Punk and Psychobilly, yet far enough to maintain an indefinite identity. Their 1st full length "Murder At The Prom"... Thirteen fast paced pounding melodic original tracks of love, lust, death, sin, horror, dark romance, luck and loss. Let this be your last chance....

Counting Stars As They Fall
Ileana Counting Stars As They Fall CD  (2002)

Murder At The Prom music CDs
CD $12.69
Ileana, new to the Los Angeles area, writes music as layered and beautiful as the New Mexico desert she hails from with combinations of pop and folk. Recognition by the New Mexico Music Industry Awards for 'Best Musical Production-Adult Contemporary' for the song "Barely" from her CD "Counting Stars as They Fall" has only added to the inertia that this singer/songwriter brings with her from a successful career in the southwestern United States. With a voice described as 'electrically charged velvet,' she blends pop and folk to create music that has already garnered a large fan base in the Southwest. She continues that trend in Los Angeles by performing songs that emphasize the dichotomy of the human condition- the battles between intelligence and emotions and of the choices we make in embracing or rejecting the circumstances of our lives. She flows seamlessly from songs of hope to those of loss leaving the audience feeling as though the message was just for them. It was this strength in songwriting and performance which led her to be selected as the Albuquerque periodical Weekly Alibi's 'Best Female Vocalist,' 'Best Songwriter' and 'Musician of the Year.'H e r B a c k g r o u n dIleana explored these emotions as a student of psychology and earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico. It was during this time that Ileana began to understand her passion for music and her need to express emotions through songwriting. Along this path she enjoyed a wide range of experiences; from lifeguard to waitress, crisis hotline to psychic hotline, each time glimpsing the diversity in people, each time returning her to her music. H e r H i s t o r yShe began her professional career singing lead vocals with the band Ulterior Motive. That band broke up following a move to Austin, TX, just before they released their second LP titled "8minutes and 30 seconds." Ileana then expanded her musical background by fronting the group Passion/Aggression with D. Whitten. This hard core venture released a two song demo in April (1997) comprised with Whitten's "I Had Another Nightmare" and "Cassandra Speaks," both of which enjoyed radio airtime. She continued to develop her solo set and began playing coffeehouses and other small venues to a rapidly growing audience. Encouraged by her bolstering fan base she recorded a four-song demo in September (1998.) She assembled a talented group of musicians to record her first solo full length release "Miles To Go" ...

Nothing Left To Lose
Mat Kearney Nothing Left To Lose CD  (2006) Bonus Track; Reissue

Murder At The Prom album
CD $7.59  Audio Samples
NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE is the major label debut from adult alternative singer-songwriter Mat Kearney. With a style that recalls Jason Mraz or John Mayer, Kearney blends a rhythmic delivery influenced by hip-hop with folky, pop-conscious songcraft. NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE is mellow and understated, but the vibe fits nicely with Kearney's earnest persona, a quality reflected in his often confessional lyrics. This album is sure to please fans of expressive, groove-oriented pop-rock in the mainstream singer-songwriter vein. On his 2006 major-label debut, Nothing Left to Lose, singer/songwriter Mat Kearney comes across as a mix of John Mayer, Jason Mraz, and U2. Kearney has the loose-limbed, acoustic feel of Mayer's earliest work, but he has a hazy hip-hop underpinning to a lot of his songs that recalls Mraz -- plus, like Mr. A-Z himself, he will easily slip between crooned choruses and rapped verses. Then, he shares the sincerity, not to mention the vague Christian undercurrents, of early U2, and he certainly builds on their echoey guitars and arty soundscapes throughout Nothing Left to Lose, which means that he can also occasionally sound like Coldplay here, particularly on the relaxed epic "Crashing Down" and the piano-driven anthemic power ballad "In the Middle." It's a modern sound, pitched halfway between adult alternative pop and collegiate jam bands, and since Kearney is an ingratiatingly sincere guy, it's often appealing on a pure sonic level, even if the stylistic mash-ups occasionally sound awkward. In specific, the raps often sound shoehorned into the arrangements, sticking out like sore thumbs even when the hip-hop beats themselves go down easy -- but to his credit, Kearney never sounds as smarmy or self-satisfied as Mraz. There is never a moment on this album where he doesn't sound earnest and serious, a trait that would ...
