A.J. Swearingen’s new release, “Take Flight”, is one of those cds you’ll listen to over and over again. This album flows effortlessly with infectious melodies and lyrics that will keep you coming back for more. AJ’s songwriting and musical sensibility is undoubtedly comparable to some of Paul Simon and James Taylor’s earlier work. This album has a timeless quality and is must have for your collection.Artist note- “I recorded this album a little differently than my previous ones. In order to preserve the natural flow and spontaneity of a live performance, I decided the guitar and voice should be captured at the same time using only one microphone. This was very challenging because I had to blend the voice and guitar by careful positioning and proximity to the microphone. In essence, this is a live album with additional instruments and tracks added later to enhance the mood of the songs. I think this recording technique preserves the human element much more than some other modern methods”. I hope you enjoy this cd” – A.J.A.J. Swearingen is an up and coming talent with a distinctive sound that reflects the vitality of classic singer-songwriters like Van Morrison, Paul Simon, and James Taylor. AJ has an international audience as well, he has sold CD’s via the internet to fans in Germany, Belgium, Japan and Spain. A.J. Swearingen is from Bethlehem, Pa. His first album “I Could Be The One “recorded in 1994, marked the beginning of his career as a talented recording artist. With an extensive fan base, A.J. now performs his compositions for audiences in his hometown and throughout the Northeast region. His self-titled cd was released in February 2005. A.J. played all the instruments, recorded, mixed, and produced the entire album on his own. The album includes some of his most requested songs including “You’re Not Here With Me”, and “I’m Free.” Album Reviews / Press: “A.J. Swearingen has more polish than many well-known performers and yet maintains the affability of a small town boy. Swearingen’s music evokes vivid images, and married with a rich baritone voice, offers up an unusual and stirring performance. Swearingen delivers what many solo artists cannot – a complete package of masterful acoustic guitar, superb vocals and a keen wit, a combination that keeps the audience glued to their chairs. 2005 marks the release of Swearingen’s fourth CD. The self-titled venture is a recording tha Take Flight Music | Category | Folk Albums | | Label | CD Baby | | CD Universe Part number | 7499584 | | Catalog number | 142385 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Aug 07, 2007 |

Take Flight album
$14.79 Jed And KelleySongs To Take Home Two and a half years ago Memphians Jed Zimmerman and Kelley Mickwee sold their home, two cars, their furniture, took the money and placed a huge bet on themselves. They hired legendary Memphis producer and songwriter Keith Sykes to produce their first album, Lose To Win, bought an RV and hit the highway, touring nationally, as Jed and Kelley. Living on the road, their bet is paying off. Songs from Lose to Win are receiving airplay on XM Radio’s X-Country station and Jed and Kelley have become darlings of the Texas and Southwestern music scene, playing all of the major Texas music venues and festivals. They also have a huge following in their hometown of Memphis, packing any venue they play.Although reviewers have compared Jed and Kelley to Emmylou and Gram, George and Tammy, Loretta and Conway, Johnny and June, those comparisons are unfair. Jed and Kelley have their own unique and mature sound as easily recognizable ...

Take Flight music CDs
$18.99 My new CD is called Many Ponies. I hope you'll enjoy it.The inspiration for the title song, and so, in a way for the whole album, was a painting of the same name by a wonderful artist, Cecilia Henle. The style is primitive, in the best sense of that word, and looks quite American Indian to me, and other-worldly, as well.It reminded me a lot of the Horse Nation Dance described in Black Elk Speaks. When the horse (t'shunka wakan) came to the Plains Indians, especially the Lakotas, it created a revolutionary change in their culture and ushered in a whole new way of doing things. Since that time, the horse has been symbolic of something new, something radically different, or revolutionary change.Horses brought a revolutionary change to my way of thinking, acting and being, too.But for the New to be born, the Old has to die.To become the person you will be, you have to let go of the person you've been. It's that simple. But it ain't easy.I know.See. Horses saved my life.I’d be a much different man if not for them, and I’m not sure you’d like him.I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like him, myself.Horses taught me things that changed me.Taught me by the nature of their being. Made me a better man and a better person. If you know and love horses, too, if you’ve been touched by them, been inspired by their courage and nobility, if you’ve delighted in their company, felt a deep peace and “at-home-ness” in their presence, then you know exactly what I’m talking about. If not, for now, just take my word for it.Because the thing is, a whole lot of what you learn ...
