$10.15 Unwritten Law: Scott Russo (vocals, guitar); Steve Morris, Rob Brewer (guitar, background vocals); Pat "PK" Kim (bass); wade Youman (drums). Recorded live at Yellowstone National Park, Jackson, Wyoming and DLI Studios, San Diego, California in August 2002. Personnel: Scott Russo (vocals, guitar); Steve Morris, Rob Brewer (guitar, background vocals); Wade Youman (drums). Audio Mixers: Jeff Juliano ; John Alagia. Recording information: DLI Studios, San Diego, CA (08/2002); Yellowstone National Park (08/2002). Editor: Peter Harding. Photographers: Thornton Spencer; Steve Simmons. This unusual project from the pop/punk band Unwritten Law came about when they were asked to appear on MTV's Music in High Places, where they played an acoustic set of their songs in Yellowstone Park. The band with a drum set, a bunch of acoustic guitars, and an acoustic bass, played up on a cliff, by a pond, and in the middle of a rodeo arena surrounded by horses and bulls. The band is surprisingly convincing playing intimate, acoustic numbers, and they manage to have a much fuller and accomplished sound than they do on their other records, almost sounding like a different band. On Music In High Places, they knock out the occasional pretty acoustic solo. Pat Kim's bass playing is impressive, and ...
| | 13six Beyond & Back CD (2006)
Real
$12.69 Established in 2006, the band is based out of San Antonio, Texas. These are professional musicians with approximately 120 years of musical experience between them. They are classified as a Rock & Roll Band. They describe their sound as a blend of Rock, Blues, & Jazz. With influences ranging from Bad Company, Skynyrd, & Zeppelin, to Neil Young & the Scorpions, these guys have a lot to draw from. They create their own material, so consequently they do not do any covers. A true "original" band, they can easily perform two hour shows. As a new group, it is impossible to reveal the band’s past other than to say a little about each individual’s history.Comprised of the following:Jimmy James on Drums & Percussion;Jesse Massey on Lead Guitar;Marty Robinson on Guitar & Vocals;Craig Whitaker on Bass & PercussionThe band's leader, Marty Robinson, has performed before hundred's of thousands of fans throughout his long industrious career. As a member of the 70's Rock band "Minus Franc", Mr. Robinson toured extensively throughout Europe and has opened in The States for such well known bands as Blue Oyster Cult. Marty feels it in his gut that 13six is the band that will provide him the recognition he so rightly deserves. Originally from Hartford CT, this Native American's writing style is based on personal experience, and his ability to create a memorable "Hook" will leave you wanting more. As the band's vocalist, who better to put real feeling into these emotion packed lyrics. A proud Vietnam Veteran, he feels it's important to expose the truth about war, and not allow the lies to dictate the future. As these songs reveal, Warriors suffer to protect our freedom. It is important that the cause for War is just.A San Antonio native, Drummer Jimmy James is a seasoned musician. As the previous driving force behind Southern Texas bands "Changes", "Zapata", and "Elements", Jimmy is no stranger to the stage. His style is hard rock, but his roots are R&B, Funk, Latin, Classic Rock, and Progressive Jazz. Jimmy has a complex style that is heavily influenced by percussion greats Chris Layton, Billy Cobham, and Lenny White. One of the biggest thrills of his life was the day, back in 1973, when Jimmy sat in on a session and jammed with Lynyrd Skynyrd at a club in Corpus Christi Texas. An exciting drummer to watch, he delights audiences everywhere he plays. A Drummer's Drummer, this man knows how to put on a show, and if you're not tapping your feet to his rhythms...well, you just might want to check your pulse.Bassist Craig Whitaker has traversed the country with his unique style of music. With roots in Lewiston, MN., Craig would seem to be out of place in the heat of this southern Texas town. However, watch the crowds reaction to his animated, high energy stage presence and you'd think he was a local born hero. Few bass players have his ability to steal the limelight from his fellow guitarist, and he delights the audience every time he appears on stage. Not afraid to experiment with his music, Mr. Whitaker formed a unique group composed of 2 bassist's & a drummer. Known as "BassStation", this trio ...
