$10.29 WWII. The "Blue Max", a coveted medal for achievement in flying, is ruthlessly sought by Peppard, a poor-boy German soldier who climbs out of the trenches and into the aristocratic air force. He is met with prejudice by the other contestants, wealthy snobs who look down upon his low economic stature. When he claims the title, he earns the respect of the General and the General's wife (Andress), who wants to repay him in ways that the General might not appreciate. Peppard, on the other hand, does. Fantastic aerial combat highlights the film, ...

Devil DVD
$11.09 While chasing a criminal named Rolex (Melvin Wong), Agent 999 (Tsui Siu-keung) stumbles upon an even greater evil--a primitive, impoverished village that has resorted to cannibalism. An expert at kung fu, Agent 999 must decide whether he will join his old foe in fighting off the hordes of crazed, masked peasants. WE ARE GOING TO EAT YOU is director Tsui Hark's second film, following his debut, BUTTERFLY MURDERS, which also explores the horror genre. Without the budget for complicated special effects, WE ARE GOING TO EAT YOU relies on energetic editing (a Hark trademark) and gross-out scenes to move the story along. The gore has a campiness that will appeal to the most bloodthirsty fans of slasher films--in one scene a man is sawed in two, while in another a beating heart is ripped from a man's chest. Comedic elements are added in the characters of a bumbling thief and a cross-dressing male with a voracious sexual appetite. Hark would later return to the horror genre ...

Devil movie DVD
$9.99 Former porn director Gregory Dark's contemporary B-movie gorefest has all the necessary trappings to leave genre fans satisfied, and others slightly nauseous. The scene is set when a group of juvenile delinquents arrive at a roach-infested ruin of a hotel, where they have agreed to work in exchange for lighter sentences. They are led by a cop who lost his hand four years ago in a struggle with a brutal serial killer whom he killed with a bullet to the head--or so he thought. Now, the very same hulking monster, played by WWE wrestler Kane, haunts the halls of the dilapidated hotel, and with no further adieu begins picking off the teenagers one by one. He metes out his own brand of justice: having been taught as a child by his punishingly Christian mother that the eyes--the windows to the soul--must be cleaned to please God, he gouges out the eyes of each of his victims. The camera does not shy away from this or any other terifically squirm-inducing action, while the hyperkinetic editing maintains a head-spinning pace. The characters remain one-dimensional and stereotypical, true to teen slasher ...

$12.39 In the late 1960s, the Haight-Ashbury area of San Francisco, California, was a countercultural mecca whose ragtag assemblage of hippies, artists, writers, musicians, and other like-minded bohemians nurtured a stellar music scene that produced some of the greatest rock bands of all time. Filmed at San Francisco's legendary Family Dog Ballroom in September 1970, A NIGHT AT THE FAMILY DOG is an amazing document of the entire Haight-Ashbury scene distilled into one incredible night of performances from three of the era's most definitive bands: Santana, the Grateful Dead, and Jefferson Airplane. Produced by poet and jazz critic Ralph J. Gleason as part of a documentary series for the National Educational Television Network, the concert film boasts two songs by Santana, three by the Grateful Dead (one of the only known Dead performances featuring original member Ron "Pig Pen" McKernan), two by Jefferson Airplane, ...
