1977 album
$15.25 After the dark and chilling themes of 2006's BLACK CADILLAC, which saw Rosanne Cash dealing with the deaths of her mother, Vivian Liberto, her father, Johnny Cash, and her stepmother, June Carter Cash -- all of whom passed within a two-year span -- one might assume that her next project would move into an even deeper level of bleakness, but with THE LIST, it's immediately clear that she has instead found a more measured place to stand. It's a lovely and redemptive outing that looks back to go forward. When Cash turned 18, her father, alarmed that his daughter only knew the songs that were getting played on the radio, gave her a list of what he considered 100 essential American songs; Cash kept that list, and now she's drawn on it for this wonderfully nuanced outing that brims with a kind of redemptive timelessness. THE LIST is a renewal and a testament to life, and it belongs to her father as much as it belongs to her, a beautiful restatement of her father's passions, only now, they've become his daughter's treasures, as well. It's an affirming story, but that's all it would be if Cash didn't sing her heart out here. The opener, a version of Jimmie Rodgers' "Miss the Mississippi and You," is full of comfortable grace and sentiment, and Cash keeps that fine emotional tone throughout ...

1977 songs
$20.15 Functioning as something of a replacement for the 2001 collection Their Greatest Hits: The Record, The Ultimate Bee Gees covers much of the same ground as that double-disc set, albeit in not quite so linear a fashion. The Record marched through its 40 tracks chronologically, opening with the stately baroque Beatlesque pop of the '60s and then winding ...
| | Beatles Rubber Soul CD (1965) Limited Edition; Remastered; Digipak; Enhanced CD
1977 album
$14.09 This reissue of RUBBER SOUL has been digitally re-mastered. It comes packaged with replicated original U.K. album art, an expanded booklet containing original and newly written liner notes, and rare photos. Limited quantities of the CD are embedded with a brief documentary film about the album.
Though some might argue that the Beatles' unprecedented evolution from British Invasion pin-ups to pop music visionaries began with BEATLES FOR SALE, RUBBER SOUL is without a doubt the first album to definitively put the Fab Four in the running for Greatest Band Ever. Virtually every aspect of the Liverpool quartet's incredibly diverse sound is in evidence here: the dark, irony-filled ...

| | Kenny Martin As We Walk CD (2008)
1977 album
$11.49 As We Walk RecordsKenny Martin carries a message of hope, dignity, and love with humor and compassion. His music is a fusion of rock and jazz influences filtered through a variety of keyboards, kick-in rhythm section and a smoking saxophone. His vocal style and harmonies are reminiscent of rock greats, while taking you to new heights in contemporary music. Kenny Martin came from an unknown part of the galaxy and landed on this planet in 1967 near a small island close to Detroit, Michigan called Gross Ile. Kenny instantly had an affinity for music and started playing the piano at the age of four. At the time, Kenny was inspired by The Beatles, Yes, Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, and Todd Rungren. At the age of seven, Kenny became more serious and was inspired by Chick Corea, Gino Vannelli and George Duke. His first gig came at the age of eighteen playing the piano at The Montauk Yatch Club. He then attended Ithaca College where he studied music and broadcasting. By this time, Steely Dan had become a big influence on Kenny and he became more of a writer and singer. Kenny played in a number of bands and ended up in Montreal where he started making more serious albums, including his critically-acclaimed CD 'As We Walk.' After playing in Montreal and Toronto, Canada, Kenny has returned to Las Vegas ready to hit the big-time with 'Tomorrow's Memory' and to play LIVE on the Famous Las Vegas Strip. The latest breaking news has Kenny Martin welcoming the highly accomplished musician Ronnie Foster as his band leader and keyboard artist. Together they plan to take the Las Vegas Strip music scene to a different level with these freshly inspired songs from both of the new album releases currently available. For more information or inquiries from concerned Booking Agents and Casino Entertainment Directors: Please email the Artist Manager, Mark A. Forrest at kennymartinmusic@live . The International recording artist Kenny Martin released a previous stellar classic rock/jazz CD Tomorrow's Memory on As We Walk Records. The CD was characterized by fine songwriting and melodies, rocking guitar, deft keyboards, tender ballads, and pop sensibilities. Radio and listeners were enthralled by such choice cuts as Crazy, Time and St. Mark's. Tomorrow's Memoryby Charlene Lucko Rating: 10Tomorrow's Memory is truly a magnificent piece of work by this artist, Kenny Martin has a superior songwriting style that speaks of our changing world. This is some of the best music I have heard on the radio or anywhere in a long time, what better way do we have than to kick off our new era of national change by including Kenny's positive and inspirational lyrics. As We Walk by Peter Kasindorf Rating: 10 I love to listen to this album while I'm driving. ...
