Gnarkill was founded in 2002 by Bam Margera. Together with Brandon DiCamillo and Hoofbite they wrote a script for the movie "Haggard" where one of the main characters "Hellboy" (naturally played by RakeYohn) enthusiastically claimed that GNARKILL is the best band in the world. When the movie was filmed, Gnarkill was just a Spinal-Tap esque fictional band with absolutely no songs recorded whatsoever. By the time the film was released in summer of 2002 with worldwide distribution, Bam starting recieving thousands of letters and emails from people asking where to find CDs of this incredible band. Not realizing that people would react so well to a fake band, Bam recruited his brother Jess (drummer for CKY) and Brandon DiCamillo to record 9 songs for the debut album from Gnarkill. The recording sessions took place over the course of 2 weeks every morning after all-night drinking binges in Jess and Bam's basement in Pennsylvania with 2 microphones and a 4-track tape recorder. Born in a NYC firehouse, Eugene Ho is not a person but a band made up of firefighters all working together to keep the streets safe outside and the morale up inside. The odd name started from a joke after the misspelling of their firehouse and much to their dismay....stuck like glue! All the songs are inspired by the every day antics and characters that cross paths with this 'band of brothers' and, just like the life they lead, run the gamut from funny and playful to solemn and reflective. Make no mistake though, this band can rock. They have performed in front of as many as 20,000 people in Birmingham, England as well as "live" on the BBC. They received a heroes welcome in Europe following the release of their song 'I See You' which was written for the heroes of 9/11. About The Composer:Raised on cornbread, greens and fried chicken, this country boy has come full circle. Fargo, Arkansas is home but now he calls Colorado his 'back home' spot. After living in Hawaii 'again' from 1999 to 2003, and basically calling it quits with his music career, he began writing again in 2003 thanks in part to a birthday party early that year in Hawaii at the home of one of his long time friends and musician buddies. The focus now is on his own genre of music appropriately named, 'NueVision Jazz'. Classically trained on oboe and credited with being one of the youngest members of The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra at the age of 13, E.L. retired from ALL performing including [playing saxes and keyboards] back in 1991 after nearly 30 years and now enjoys his time with his wife Debra. Between 1976-1991 E.L. was Bandleader/Manager of several Top 40/R&B Bands performing in the U.S., Hawaii, Guam, The Phillipines, Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Puerto Rico, Guantanamo Bay Cuba and Panama. His bands have opened for Roy Ayers, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Bobby BLue Bland, Syl Johnson, Lou Rawls, Chaka Kahn, The Guess Who, and numerous other groups during the 70's & 80's.
