Fulci goes Hitchcock! If you love old hitchcock "who dun it" type movies then you will really like this film. This is before Lucio becomes "infamous" as the "goremaster".
Sure you had the "nightmare" western "Four Of The Apocalypse" and the "insanity" of "Don't Touture A Duckling" before this. But this was before "Zombi aka Zombie2".
So NO gore, but a very intense film that Quentin Tarintino obviously was also inspried by. "Kill Bill" fans will understand after "hearing" the movie. Argento fans could even mistake this for his earlier works from the "animal trilogy", it's that tame in comaprison to something like "City Of The Living Dead" or "The Beyond". But overall it's got a much better plot and story line that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Submitted by rock2731 (DAYTON, OHIO) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo

$13.59 Lucio Fulci's LIZARD IN A WOMAN'S SKIN earned the director a measure of infamy because of a very believable scene involving disemboweled dogs. So believable, in fact, that Fulci had to prove before a judge (with special effects man Carlo Rambaldi) that their dogs were, in fact, fake. A giallo that ranks among the director's best films, the movie stars Silvia Monti as Deborah, a woman who has disturbing dreams about murdering her neighbor. After she relates them to her therapist, her neighbor is actually murdered, exactly the same way she was in Deborah's dreams, leading to a police investigation and some strange revelations.
