Although, surprisingly, nothing on The Good Life quite catches fire, the great "Where the Shadows Fall" has much to recommend a listen, as do "Sounds Like Thunder" and the title cut. You could call this one of the lost releases of the late '80s -- that's a shame, because there's some great music here. ~ James Chrispell
Fire Town: Doug Erikson , Phil Davis (vocals, guitar); Butch Vig (drums, percussion, background vocals).

Purchase Good Life CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Poco Running Horse CD (2002)
Good Life album
$11.25 Though its cover art and title allude to Legend (1978), Poco's only real blockbuster album and last of any true merit, Running Horse, reaches back no further than the group's last studio album, 1989's Legacy, a cobbled together reunion album produced in part by Richard Marx. The production on Running Horse is equally weak, tentative, and thin, with dated highly guitar tones and studio feel. Surprisingly little of founder Rusty Young's famous pedal steel work is evident, odd considering his prowess on that instrument helped introduce it to the non-country world (Greg Leisz bow down). It's as if the alt-country explosion of the mid-'90s never happened. With so ...

$10.65 Why do they call it the blues, when it makes you feel so good every time you listen to it? Everywhere they go, they get the same feedback: 'love the new sound guys!' And yes, it is a new sound for this band that's been around since 1991. More edge, more drive and a rockin' blues style that will leave you asking for more. If you haven't heard this band before, you're in for a treat. If you have, then you know why fans around Kansas City continue to choose them as a favorite, winning multiple KingCatMusic awards for 'best blues band' as well as the 2007 winner of the 'best live performance'. While the style is blues, the mission is definitely good news, centered on the life changing grace found in Jesus Christ. So check out what all the fuss is about. Mission Blues music, it will make you feel good every time you listen to it! To get a good understanding of the history of 'Mission Blues', you would first need to look at how the personnel of the band has changed through the years. For example, there have been thirteen different singers (lead or backup) with three of those still remaining in the band now.In the early days, when the group was formed (in 1991) as the 'house band' of a youth outreach, it was known as the 'Friday Fight Night Band' (it's not really a long story but we're still not going into it here). Once the decision was made to take the show outside the walls of the church, it was OBVIOUS that a name change was in order. For a couple of years the band was called 'Mission Blue' but then a change was made to 'Mission Blues' and it has remained that ever since (at least at the time of this writing we haven't changed the name! besides 'Cap'n Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters' was already taken anyway). Before the band ever made it into the studio, there were a handful of singers who spent some time with the band as the group spent a few years trying to establish a solid musical style. In 1998 it was time to record the first project which came in the form of CDs and cassette tapes (no albums or 8-tracks). That project was titled 'Blues on a Mission' and was recorded at Pat MaCatee's studio in Raymore, Missouri, with lead vocals sung by Kent Kuss and Lori Walters. We recorded it as quickly as we could (pretty much) because we didn't have much money. Although we worked hard on it, it's difficult to get the kind of quality that you want on a shoestring budget so when we ran out of copies we didn't bother to reproduce it. If you own a copy, you should hang onto it because it may be worth a lot of money someday (but I really doubt it). That was also the beginning of the 'chrome doughnuts' 3-D illustration used for the cover, which, by the way, is making a strong revival lately. Well, I've been asked many times what the heck that's all about but I've kept it a secret, at least until now. On second thought, I can't reveal that now either. Sorry!A few singers and a few years later we were back in the studio to record our second CD. 'Voices' was recorded at Air Digital in Independence, Missouri and was another step forward in establishing a distinct Mission Blues style. The only problem was that we didn't have much money so we recorded it as quickly as possible and the quality was better (but still not great). Ok, I realize that this is beginning to sound WAY TOO familiar. The lead vocals were handled by the incomparable Robin Creason who sang with Mission Blues for over 6 years and was always a crowd favorite (when she left, our only shot at 'pretty' left too). This was also the last project that our original guitarist, Terry Wood, worked on with the band. He later went on to star in several Hollywood movies and ...

Good Life CD music
$15.19 Plunkett... an English boy and an Italian girl. Both Ian and Lara had a love for music from a very early age. Lara chose the piano, Ian the guitar. After studying music (theory, midi, harmony and sound engineering) at Rome, Lara became a partner and A&R of Dune Records, an independent Italian label. Ian had always played in bands and after finally finding like minded musicians the band 'Pukromo' was born. In late 1999 Pukromo signed to Dune records recording ...
