California based Chassidic Rock Band "8th Day" was formed By MarcusBrothers Shmuel and Benzi in 2004. They released their debut album"Trach Gut" in 2005 and toured the country uplifting young and oldwith their fresh sound. The songs are all original, written and performed by Shmuel and Benzi. With some great musicians backing them up, they also have theirbrother's Eli, Chaim, Zalman and Yossi who all sing backup on theirrecords.8th Day just released their follow up album entitled "Brooklyn".Critics have been raving about it and the fans seem to agree.About the Name: There was once a king who made a seven-day banquet for all his subjects, but asked his closest friends to stay a little longer and make an eighth day. Our Sages apply this image to explain the difference between the seven days of Sukkot and the concluding festival, called Shemini Atzeret, the "eighth day."Jewish mysticism says that the number seven alludes to nature and the number eight alludes to above nature. Nowadays it's still us and them, but on the 8th day it'll be just you and me, and when the sun won't set, you'll know it's my eighth day, and when your songs won't end, you'll know it's my eighth day. Quite possibly the only electric blues/rock guitarist to come near rivalling Jimi Hendrix, Vaughan, who, like Hendrix, died tragically, was so good he was ridiculous. He was lacking in really good material, and his own compositions were mainly guitar workouts, such as "Rude Mood," although he shows great feeling on the instrumental "Lenny." He is much more comfortable ...

| | Eric Clapton From The Cradle CD (1994)
Brooklyn CD music
$10.09 FROM THE CRADLE won the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album. It was also nominated for Album Of The Year.
Some 30 years after cutting BLUESBREAKERS with John Mayall, Slowhand is back--and he's plugged in, too. From the Elmore James-styled slide grunge that heralds Leroy Carr's classic "Blues Before Sunrise," to his sweet, pearly tones on an agonizingly slow "Third Degree," it's clear that FROM THE CRADLE really is your parents' Eric Clapton.
Nearly every album Clapton's ever done has had a suggestion of his roots. But there's more than a suggestion of blues on impassioned, unhinged solos like "Five Long Years," ...

| | King Errisson Nice CD (2006)
Brooklyn album
$11.15 King Errisson was born on October 29, 1941 in Nassau, Bahamas where Afro Caribbean rhythms, goatskin drums, and Junkanoo are a prominent feature of the cultural landscape. It was only natural that the young Errisson would begin playing the bongos at a very early age and began playing professional gigs by the time he was 13 years old. He also worked as a jockey until he was 19 years old when he was offered the opportunity to perform at a night club in Boston. He returned to the Bahamas and teamed up with a limbo dancer and continued to perform on a regular basis.Today, King is not only known as one of the greatest conga players in the world, but is also an accomplished songwriter and actor King received his first big break at the age of 23 when his talent with the congas was prominently displayed in a memorable night club scene in the James Bond movie, Thunderball. He left Nassau for drama studies in Canada, formed a jazz band in New York City, and spent a year performing in a Bermuda club where he met Redd Foxx who invited King to appear at his place in Los Angeles. Sammy Davis Jr. asked King to appear on the Hollywood Palace, and Cannonball Adderly became his mentor in the recording studio. As a session musician, King has worked with a very diverse group of artists representing a wide variety of musical styles. King has been praised as the unsung hero behind Motown by Ray Singleton in her book Berry, Me, and Motown as well as by Berry Gordy in his book To Be Loved for his work with artists such as Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Michael Jackson, the Jackson Five, and many others. He has also worked with ...
