Richie Rockabilly Flying Saucers Rock & Roll CD

Here's some info on the making of my new cd, Flying Saucers Rock and Roll, y'all...It's true, Rockabilly Richie is the only musician on the latest cd as on the first, self titled cd, and thanks for the support and the interest in rockabilly music thus far.In making this cd, it was my intention to try for the vintage sound characteristic of the Sun Records and the late fifties sounds. I used a four track recorder and acouple of guitars and a Yamaha piano, organ and rythmn track.The songs are a mix of some favorite covers and my own original, 8 of each. Lil Red Riding Hood was the version made popular by Sam the Sham. It was the first that I ever played and sang in a band when I was a teenager. Yikes, that long ago, huh?!Don't Be Rude is my song that isn't really about nastythings as much as the way things have gone in music thesedays. Nuff said.Durango Kid was written after a vacation to Arizona last year and way too many cowboy movies.Carl Perkins. What else can you say?Jerry Lee. Ditto.6 Hot Chicks in a Cadillac, I like this song and locally for some reason it's seems to be gettin popular. I wonder if it has anything to do with 6 Hot Chicks in a Cadillac?I know there are no screams in Flying Saucers Rock and Rollbut I impressed even me with the vocal, guitar and pianomix.Love Its a young Man's Poison, is something I should have wrote when I was young.Taboo. Could be that its about anything, maybe a fifth of whiskey or...Yeh, You Can.
