2007 digitally remastered edition of the trio's classic psychedelic second album. Originally issued in 1969, the band headed further to employ an underground sound to record their classic UK Top Ten hit 'Sabre Dance', a recording championed by DJ John Peel. This edition was remastered from the original tapes and expanded to include the six non-LP singles and the track 'Mars', which was exlcuded from the UK edition of the original album. The ensuing album was equally stunning, engineered by future Yes/ELP producer Eddie Offord. Esoteric
Love Sculpture: Dave Edmunds (guitar). Audio Remasterer: Ben Wiseman. Liner Note Author: Mark Powell. Recording information: Advision Studios, London, England; Maximum Sound Studios. Photographer: Barry Plummer. Arranger: Dave Edmunds. Forms & Feelings essentially replicates the high-voltage attack of Blues Helping, only with a notable lack of energy and an eye on the charts. It's no coincidence that the group chose to revamp L'Arlésienne's "Farandole," given that "Sabre Dance" was the only thing that distinguished Love Sculpture from the legions of British blues bands. But this time around, "Farandole" and all of Forms & Feelings sounded tired and redundant, with only a fraction of the passion that made the debut worthwhile. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

The Velvet Rope was a fairly bold move on Janet Jackson's part, as she got seriously sexy -- too serious, actually, since it had a fairly bitter tone, underscored by hints of perversity. Four years later, marked by one hidden marriage revealed through a divorce, Janet returned with All for You, an album that is as about sex as much as The Velvet Rope, yet there's a key difference -- it feels sexy, not pornographic. With her trusty collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis in tow, she's created a ...

Forms And Feelings
$18.99 Mama Sweet's first gig came in the spring of 2002, opening for the Hosty Duo, a show they refer to as ‘a nod from the King’ (Mike Hosty penned "Oklahoma Breakdown," a song made famous by Red Dirt artist, Stoney Larue.) The music began to grow, but so did tensions in the band. Holt needed a break, and consequently so did everyone else. Holt packed his bags and headed to New York City. “The move was prompted by the call of the road and the ache of the heart, simple as that,†Holt said. Holt’s brash move to relocate to the big city changed the Oklahoma native. Looking back to the red dirt of Oklahoma from the grey streets of New York made him restless and homesick, but Holt turned his pain into verse. After only nine months in the Big Apple, Holt returned to Oklahoma and his musical brethren. Mama Sweet fell back into place and using the material Holt had written in New York, they started recording ...
