Traditional Lullabies
$15.99 Including four new tracks, the two-disc set Around the Campfire is an excellent overview of Peter, Paul & Mary's career as it nears the four-decade mark. As indicated by the title, the focus of the collection is to shine a spotlight on songs that express ideals of community, tunes commonly sung in schools and churches as well as at more intimate gatherings; toward that aim, the trio offers newly recorded renditions of such perennials as "Kumbaya," "Michael, Row the Boat Ashore," "Down by the Riverside," and "Goodnight Irene." The inclusion of such longtime favorites as "Puff (The ...

Traditional Lullabies
$7.59 BIG WIDE GRIN was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Musical Album For Children.
With baby boomers and many members of Generation X having grown up with rock & roll as their music of choice, it stands to reason the idea of a "children's album" needs to be redefined. Contemporary blues guitarist Keb' Mo' keeps this concept at the forefront of BIG WIDE GRIN, a collection of songs suitable for sharing with the whole family as opposed to being tailored solely for the little ones.
Blessed with a rich singing voice, fleet fingers, and a laid-back delivery, Mo' delivers clever arrangements of R&B favorites by The O'Jays (a twangy "Love ...

| | Bible StorySong Singers Matthew Songs For Young Singers CD (2007)
Traditional Lullabies
$10.15 Two energetic grannies have been collaborating to write children’s Bible songs for almost 20 years. After teaching Bible lessons and singing traditional children’s praise songs, Cathy and Paula volunteered to try to write songs which matched the Bible stories. Reports came from parents that their kids were singing these NEW songs day after day. Joy was so much on the rise that the two “singing teachers” went prospecting, looking through old sheet music and song books for treasured tunes to fit the feeling of each scriptural message. A divine synchronicity emerged, resulting in over 400 Bible songs, tested and approved by a generation of happy, Bible-infused children. Their first professional album was a Grammy contender in 2004, and six of their singles were on the 2005 Gospel Music Award ballot. The Songwriters Paula King (the analytical left brain) – B.A. Education/Math/English, University of ...

Traditional Lullabies
$16.45 He is a different breed of Christian artist with a musical background that is as diverse as his cultural heritage. He was born in Moline, Illinois in 1959. When he was five years old his parents became missionaries to Liberia, West Africa. There he was exposed to many tribal customs and ceremonies. Some of these involved the use of “talking drums” and lasted 76 hours. Many nights they would go to bed hearing the rhythmic patterns coming from the village across the river. In 1969 the family took up residence once again on American soil. It was there, in Bloomington, Illinois, that Marvin with the help of a friend gave up his love for drums to learn guitar. Within three years he began writing songs. This opened a door of friendship with many other musicians. It was through the inspiration of these jam sessions that a desire to minister in music began. Little did Marvin know, but music would become his secret hideaway to help him through the many changes that lay ahead. In 1976, the family returned to Africa – this time to Rhodesia (Zimbabwe). They built a church in spite of living in the midst of a war and turbulent social upheaval. When Marvin was almost drafted into the Rhodesian Army, he and his brothers moved back the U.S.Marvin realized the call of God was ...
