SI QUIERES SABER QUIEN SOY was nominated for the 2001 Latin Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Album. "Amarte Asi" was nominated for the 2001 Latin Grammy Award for Song of the Year. This album is a kind of return to roots, less technologically filled than Alejandro Lerner's previous efforts. It was meant to be more expressive than technically oriented and songs like "A Usted" and "Si Te Vas" show this purpose very well. The romantic ballads are the most prominent tunes of an even album. Many of the songs are co-written with Coti Sorokin. Sting guitarist Dominic Miller is featured in the stirring ballad "Amarte Así" and co-wrote the salsa-flavored "Si Quieres Saber Quién Soy." In this album is also included "Quién Te Dijo," which was a hit before the album was released due to its prior inclusion as the central theme to the Argentinean TV soap opera Campeones. MJ Bishop took advantage of a rare August ice thaw to make her break from Michigan's Upper Peninsula and come to Seattle several years ago.She has entertained Puget Sound fans for over ten years, singing classic rock, jazz/blues and country tunes.
