Zenkyokushu Omokage Miren album
$11.89 This stately Iceland rock outfit took the alternative-music world by storm with its second album, AGAETIS BYRJUN--a haunting, eloquent, 76-minute instant classic. Frontman Jon Por Birgisson sings in a language he calls "Hopelandic" (a combination of Icelandic and his own angelic calling), over the lyrical ebb and flow of feedback-drenched guitar, gushing keyboards, gently driving bass, and drums that crash ...

| | Tom Stahl I Wanna Be Ignorant CD (1995)
Zenkyokushu Omokage Miren songs
$18.99 TOM STAHL Tom writes the songs, sings the songs, and plays guitar for Tom Stahl & the Dangerfields; hence the headlining billing in the group name. A native of Buffalo, Tom was pursuing a career in distribution networks for aesthetic enhancement products. (Some would refer to this as driving a truck and delivering paint.) One day Tom seriously injured his back. (Is there a way to light-heartedly injure one's back?) The ensuing downtime led Tom to turn to songwriting in an attempt to retain his sanity. (By most accounts this was, on the whole, a successful endeavor. ) At this point the Stahl household began to overflow with music. It's one thing for the hills to be alive with the sound of music, but in a house in Kenmore it can start to get old ...

| | Micah Levy Probably Untrue Story Of Mary (Who) Had A Little Lamb CD (2005)
Zenkyokushu Omokage Miren CD music
$16.49 "The Probably Untrue Story of Mary (Who) Had A Little Lamb" serves as a child's introduction to "clasical" music. It takes as its starting point Sarah Josepha Hale's poem "Mary's Lamb." Almost immediately the story and the music veer way off course. The story is fun AND funny! Musically speaking, "Mary" is a set of variations on the familiar children's tune "Mary Had A Little Lamb". Additionally, lamb and listener are introduced to an important Vivaldi work.In addition there are "extras" which include "Spring" (Antonio Vivaldi), "Vivaldi Plays A Bar Mitzvah Gig' (in Klezmer style), "Mary and Petunia Sing On Broadway" (Jazz style), "Mary and Petunia On The Trail" (Cowboy/Country/Barn Dance) and "Mary and Petunia Go To Church (Sacred). "The Probably Untrue Story of Mary (who) Had A Little Lamb" is written for full orchestra. "Spring" is written for violin solo, string orchestra and harp. Each of the rest is scored for an ensemble appropriate to its genre. For example, "Mary and Petunia On The Trail" is scored for guitar, two harmonicas, two fiddles and banjo. "The Probably Untrue Story of Mary (who) Had A Little Lamb" was conceived as an entertainment AND an educational tool, the goal being to introduce children to "classical" music. The CD includes a Teachers' Guide written by Barbara F. King. The Teachers' Guide follows National Standard Performance Goals and is, therefore, suitable as a series of lesson plans to be used in public schools and home school situations as well as private schools throughout the US. The Teacher's Guide is on the CD in the form of a PDF. The user may access and print the Teacher's Guide using either a PC or Macintosh computer using Acrobat Reader. The final tracks on the CD are comprised of all the tunes found in the original "Mary" WITHOUT narration. They are intended to be used with the Teacher's Guide. This CD is copy-protected. It will play in most CD players, DVD players, game players, Pcs and MacIntosh computers. Copying is limited ...
