There are a thousand adjectives used to describe bands. For Eighteenth Hour there's one...rock band. Hailing from Pennsylvania, Eighteenth Hour has racked up three sold-out CDs and a long list of accolades in the past few years, not to mention a loyal fanbase in Philadelphia, New York and the Lehigh Valley. Eighteenth Hour's reputation as a great live band spread quickly after winning WZZO 95.1FM's 15th Annual Backyard Bands Competition which was judged by representatives from Atlantic, Virgin and Interscope Records. This was the launching pad that lead Eighteenth Hour to regular performances at the best original music venues in PA-NJ-NY including Grape Street Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA), The Bitter End (NYC) and Musikfest (Bethlehem, PA). While the term rock band might sound one-dimensional in today's music industry, taking the time to listen to Eighteenth Hour's wide range of rock songwriting on their new CD “The Analog Sessions” puts that misconception to rest. From the driving rock anthems "I’m Gone" and "Come Back Later" to the intimate ballad "While We’re Waiting" to the blues-rock infused "Sound the Sirens Off" to the Zeppelin-esque single "Songbird", Eighteenth Hour is a band built around the musical strengths of four guys which combine to create a killer experience for any rock music fan.Review in The Morning Call (www.mcall.com) - September 8, 2007:Eighteenth Hour, the Bethlehem-based rock band, has been through several line-ups and a hiatus since they began in 2000, but core members David Zullo (guitar) and Geoff Houser (guitar and vocals), are back rocking it old school. As the title "The Analog Sessions" indicates, their new disc (the band's fourth of original tunes) is a throwback to pre-digital music. The eight songs feature big distorted guitars, bluesy solos and dramatic acoustic ballads. A classic rock influence can be heard, with riffs in the style pioneered by Led Zeppelin - although it should be noted that Houser's vocal style is more restrained than the typical caterwauling associated with '70s rock. He sings in a straight-ahead modern rock style, occasionally cutting loose with a satisfying scream and impressive falsetto. "Sound the Sirens Off," the most overtly blues song, is a standout. It begins with a slow blues guitar riff by Zullo, accented by an organ before joining a steady beat by drummer Tom Chaffier and building to a tightly rocking chorus. Impressive and melodic bass-playing by Jim Touchton is an unexpected touch, leading nicely into Zullo's guitar solo. The opening track, "Come Back Later," is also impressive. Here the guitars sound modern in a Foo Fighters sort of way while vocal harmonies add a soft touch over the heavy fuzz.Josh Berk / The Morning Call eighteenth hour Analog Sessions Songs | 1. | Come Back Later |

Daishele is unique in that their style of music may be classified as urban/pop. Their music consists of a variety of styles including R&B, hip-hop, pop, and latin. Music has always been a part of their lives since they were little. They both grew up in very musical families.A verse about Dana: Dana is originally from Brooklyn, New York, but grew up in New Jersey and has currently been residing in Philadelphia, PA for the past ten years. Dana started exploring the arts at an early age. She began dancing at age five and soon after began musical theater, competitions, and pageants. Dancing (especially tap) and singing were her life at a very early age. She studied and performed with some very acclaimed choreographers including Henry LeTang, Gregory and Maurice Hines, and Savion Glover. She attended a performing arts high school and knew that this would be a part of her forever. While in high school, Dana realized that she was a very expressive person. Growing up an only child, Dana did not have brothers or sisters to talk to, so she began using writing and dancing to express her thoughts. The writing became a very important part of Dana's life as she began to write poem after poem, which later paved her path for song writing. Dana continued to attend Temple University where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education with a minor in dance education and choreography. She is currently working as a social worker and is in school once again. She will be graduating with her master's degree in May, 2004. When Dana's mother remarried, she was blessed with two younger sisters, one of which is Michelle, the second half of Daishele. Their love for music brought them together to form this group, "Daishele." Dana is so thankful that Michelle was brought into her ...

Analog Sessions CD music
$11.39 Many years have passed since the needle finally had its way w/ the worn grooves of the Beatles, Dylan, and Kinks albums that Steven borrowed from his parents. Now they inhabit the tattered trunk of experience, memory, and perspective that has accompanied his journey--one filled w/ a rich mine for his timeless gems depicting love and loss, joy and grief, envy and disdain, birth and death. Raised in the deep south, Steven witnessed the intriguing paradox of southern hospitality with the enmity brought about by religious, class, racial, and gender misunderstanding. It was perhaps at this point that his desire to observe and intent to portray the subtle ironies of human existence was germinated. Steven spent most of the 90's in the Midwest touring regionally with outfits playing music ranging from math rock to jazz. A time of immense musical discovery, Steven benefited by collaborating and sharing stages (from coffee houses in Iowa City to legendary clubs in Chicago) with a host of talented musicians. With a voracious musical appetite Steven digested and studied styles ranging from Mahler, to Wes Montgomery, to Bill Monroe; all of which have melded to influence his unique compositional approach to harmony, melody, and counterpoint. With a literary interest no less varied, spanning from Sholokhov to Salinger to Sandburg, his verse is ripe with cryptic wit and enchanting imagery. Continuing his journey to the left coast Steven spent several years in the border region of New Mexico training and working as a paramedic. He witnessed and shared in the full spectrum of human emotion: from the sheer terror of a violent injury, to the shock and dread of suddenly losing a soul mate, to the exhilaration of hearing ...
