This is for the bad rates given... This album is excelent! is a great turn of the band,..they do not try to make more money with an unproduced CD! they are experimenting with music! just hear for the love of god! is great, it has that jazz feeling all along, they are three great composers and this actually proves that they are not interested in money! they just want to make music, create wonderful pices of art, excuse me for my lack of english i'm from Argentina and i'm proud to say that this CD deserves five stars or even more! you have to be very brave to do something like this, and they definitly proove themeselves to me, they are brilliant, just be open minded, and enjoy...remember...there is no dark side of the moon really matter of fact...(i'll leave the rest for you to fill in)

Nice
In October 1998, Liquid Tension Experiment reunited at Millbrook Studios in upstate New York to record their 2nd album. A few days into the sessions, John Petrucci's pregnant wife went into premature labor leaving Mike Portnoy, Jordan Rudess and Tony Levin stranded in an already set-up and booked recording studio. So like any creative and productive musicians would do, they decided to stay and JAM... and JAM they did!
For some bizarre and still unexplained reason, the master tapes of these jams were misplaced during the mixing process. But, luckily, Portnoy records almost everything he ever does and as a result his live 2-track stereo DAT mixes are the only remaining traces of this historic jam. So what you have here is as live and raw as it gets. No overdubs, no editing, no mixing.
Just 3 guys, their instruments and their spontaneous imaginations feeding off of each other.

this is a great CD, 'cause it's intimate and and it shows the big minds of these MASTER of music, with an exception it lacks the Petrucci's talent but it's a good cd

I was courious about this one without John Petrucci as part of the Liquid Tension Experiment. and it is better than what I expected it could be. This is fun jamming and as well it is very good.

Thoughts of Spain are usually dominated by sun-dappled vistas and zesty food, but Sevilla's Orthodox are more interested in the shadows cast by Spain's golden sun. The experimental power trio looks back at both Black Sabbath's monolithic metal and John Coltrane's forays into free jazz with equal focus. Instrumental tracks like "Con sangre de quien te ofenda" feature nimble, skittering drums and gentle horns, evoking amber dusk and deserted forests, while songs like "Solemne Triduo" are more sinister, with sludge bass and primitive chanting that sounds like a pagan ritual. Orthodox can be as brutal as a fist or as light and complex as the latticework of interconnected branches in an orange tree.
