| | Paula Deanda CD (2006)
Livin' Shady CD music
$7.59 With an equal emphasis on sultry R&B ballads and uptempo dance-pop, Paula Deandra's 2006 self-titled debut can easily be filed next to contemporary R&B divas like Beyonce and Mariah Carey. The album's lead-off single, "Doing Too Much," a gliding slow jam with a pulsing, hip-hop-flavored beat and sweet backing vocals that recall Destiny's Child, is an excellent example of what the artist does well. Yet Deanda's voice and lyrics add a bit of bite to the glossy R&B, and that distinctive twist, along with ...

| | James Gang Live In Concert CD (1971) (Import) United Kingdom
Livin' Shady music CDs
$16.29 All songs written or co-written by Joe Walsh except "Stop" (Ragavoy/ Schuman), "You're Gonna Need Me" (Albert King), and "Lost Woman" (Dreja/Beck/Relf/McCarthy/Samwell-Smith).
The James Gang earned a great number of fans through their live performances, so it made sense that they would release a live record within months of their successful third album. Live in Concert captures much of the energy of their live performances, with Joe Walsh's guitar solos catching fire on nearly every song. However, the record also makes it clear that he was beginning to outgrow the confines of the James Gang, as Fox and Peters struggled to keep up with his imaginative playing for most of the album. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
A rock classic, digitally remastered in 2001. These recordings confimed that Joe Walsh was everything people ...

| | Rob Byrd Bells Of Tomorrow CD (2006)
Livin' Shady CD music
$10.15 Since 2001 Boston-based guitar player Rob Byrd has been performing improvised ambient music in a wide variety of settings from the legendary CBGB's in New York City to the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert. Fascinated by how sounds exist in time and space, he treats electric guitar with various signal processing equipment to spawn sonic pieces that are shaped by the location at which they are being performed and by the energies of those present. The aim is to create a shared experience of reflection and meditation which resonates between performer, venue, and audience, but can also be enjoyed purely on a musical level as well. 'Bells of Tomorrow,' his first release on Rootsucker Records, is representative of the live guitar performances but also contains an additional element of treated found sounds to enhance and expand the textural range and flavor of the music. Tones both pure and dirty, ...
| | Josh Fox Under The Mercy EP CD (2007)
Livin' Shady music CDs
$6.69 Josh FoxRaised in Humboldt County, CA, Josh learned the art of musical worship at a young age. His mother would strum her twelve-string guitar and sing love songs to God late at night, while his father, who couldn't stay on key to save his life, belted out praise choruses during house church worship sessions. When Josh was nineteen years old he began leading worship with a high school ministry in San Diego. He couldn't quite sing and play guitar at the same time, a fact which led to some train wreck worship sets. He later moved north and began leading worship for the youth of Santa Cruz Bible Church where he teamed in ministry with Dan Kimball. Five years later, Josh and Dan began noticing that many of their former high school students dropped out of church life following graduation. This reality, along with a desire to create a church gathering that better reflected a postmodern, experiential culture, inspired the two leaders to begin the Graceland worship services. In four years, Graceland ...
