This greatest-hits package brings together work from Ed Harcourt's first five albums, making it an excellent place for the uninitiated to sample the artist's sharp popcraft. Harcourt mixes Britpop, indie rock, chamber pop, balladry, and 1960s-era rock with a singer-songwriter sensibility.
UNTIL TOMORROW THEN offers a tasty selection of Harcourt's styles, all of which work together surprisingly well. Even while his singing and multi-instrumental performances impress, it's his songwriting that stands out here (check out "Black Dress" or the gritty, stirring "Apple of My Eye"). The arrangements, which brim over with carefully placed baroque-pop touches, are nothing to shake a stick at, either.

Digitally remastered by Elliott Federman (DSW Mastering Studios, New York, New York).
Kim Carnes formed her style on the folk-rock circuit, where a dulcet, technical pop voice is not required. Her husky, full voice signifies early '80s radio and is still unforgettable. The sixteen-song collection starts with her 1981 single "Bette Davis Eyes." This song initiated a string of hits that kept her on the world's charts ...

| | Unruly Helga Story Of A Girl CD (2007)
Until Tomorrow Then: The Best Of Ed Harcourt music CDs
$9.75 The Story of Story of a Girl: This debut album by Deena Noroian was originally recorded in 1998 in the garage of her Co-Producer, Curt Piar. It was released by the now defunct indie record label, Rain Records. After Story of a Girl was promoted live at venues and clubs across the country, the duo went on to record No Alternative, Deena's sophomore effort released in 2000. A few years later they began recording Unruly Helga, the self titled band effort that inspired Deena to remix, re-master and re-release Story of a Girl under Deena's new nom de plume, Unruly Helga. Now using her married name, Deena Kamm, she is as dedicated as ever to her music and her band, Unruly Helga. Special thanks to the Unruly Helga band members: Deb Buchanan, Yukihide Takiyama (YT), Scott Mundy, Curt Piar and Perry Ostrin for playing these songs live so many times over the past 11 years and making them sound even better than they do on the record. Another special thanks to Sean Carter for spending his time and efforts to re-mix/re-master this album.____Ever get really frustrated because something is so obvious, but nobody else seems to see it? Ever get enraged at how stupid people can be? Then, suddenly, you have an epiphany: you realize that people aren't actually dumb fools. They're just responding to a fear or a conditioned response, or worse yet, an emotion that they can't control. Pretty soon, you're no longer angry. You feel a little empathy, and a little remorse about being irritated in the first place. That's what "The Story of a Girl" by Unruly Helga is all about. This debut album is a collection of experiences that weave in and out of life's many stages. It features 12 original songs about empowerment, independence, and affliction. Each song on the album tells a different story, exploring a variety of intimate issues and women's experiences. The title track even puts women into a historical perspective using imagery and lineage: "A child, perfect, born to a king / They gave her everything / Taught her to be clean and pure and sweet / But they forgot to teach her how to think."Lead Singer/Songwriter, Deena Kamm uses a wide variety of approaches in her story telling. She is driven by the need to define the frustrations and camaraderie that she feels toward other women. She occasionally takes the unexpected viewpoint that woman are the weaker sex. "I get so tired of women complaining about being held back or suppressed," says Deena. "Are you helping the situation by complaining? Can't you find a more constructive way to be thought of as equal? Maybe you should SHOW people you are equal instead of whining about how unjust everything is. If that's all you can do for yourself, maybe you ARE weak. I know women have been restrained in many aspects of life, but sitting around bitching isn't going to fix it."Conversely, "The Story of a ...
