| | Alan Parsons Gaudi CD (1987) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
Communion CD music
$7.59 GAUDI was inspired by the life and works of Antonio Gaudi, a Catalan architect.
Inspired by architect Antonio Gaudi, the Alan Parsons Project's Gaudi from 1987 has a leaner, edgier sound that is best represented on "Standing on Higher Ground." The last track, "Paseo de Graciad," is a finely orchestrated instrumental done exquisitely in full Parsons style. The usual lineup of Miles, Woolfson, Zakatek, and Rainbow share the singing duties, with Geoff Barradale taking over on "Standing on Higher Ground." ~ Mike DeGagne
Even though 1987's Gaudi was inspired by architect Antonio Gaudi, its songs seem to lack the assertiveness or the instrumental endowments that usually occur within the Alan Parsons Project's work. With a leaner, edgier sound that is best represented on "Standing on Higher Ground," the easiness and touch that should have enveloped ...
| | Fish 13th Star CD (2008) (Import) United Kingdom
Communion music CDs
$15.39 13th Star was originally released as a limited edition of 10,000 copies with a bonus DVD on September 6, 2007, only available through Fish's website or at one of his concerts to promote the album. It was released to retail on February 12, 2008. The lineup for the album is Frank Usher on guitars, Steve Vantsis on bass, Foss Paterson on keyboards, Gavin Griffiths on drums, Dave Haswell on percussion, Lorna Bannon on backing vocals, and new bandmember Chris Johnson on guitars. For the first time, Calum Malcolm (Prefab Sprout, Blue Nile) was brought in to produce the album, and he introduced a more disciplined approach into the recording process. There was also a change with regard to writing the album, as bassist Vantsis was heavily involved for the first time after ten years playing in the band, and his writing brought a slightly different approach. Some of the lyrics of the songs were also influenced by the fact that Fish split with his fiancée, Heather Findlay of the band Mostly Autumn, shortly after the recording of the album had started. 13th Star was written as a concept album, although this applies mainly to the lyrics presenting a narrative throughout -- the concept was of someone on a journey ...

Communion songs
$14.09 Includes a bonus Enhanced CD which contains regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.
Originally released in 2000 in the U.K., LIGHTBULB SUN found Steve Wilson and Porcupine Tree streamlining their prog rock inclinations into song structures that explored more conventional pop territory ("She Moved On" and "Where Would We Be" are cases in point). Which is not to say that the disc doesn't overflow with instrumental prowess and extended explorations, making it one of Porcupine Tree's most well-rounded albums. The 2008 reissue features a new stereo mix of the album, plus a bonus DVD-Audio disc packed with bonus features.
Special two disc (CD + DVD Audio) pressing of Steven Wilson and Porcupine Tree's Lightbulb Sun album features a bonus ...

| | Mother Truckers Broke, Not Broken CD (2006)
Communion CD music
$11.69 The Mother Truckers are a hard rockin' country band out of Austin, TX via Marin County, CA and their album Broke, Not Broken, will be re-released on November 6, 2007 through Funzalo Records.Husband and wife Josh Zee and Teal Collins make up the singing and songwriting nucleus of the band, and their chemistry plays out in their seamless harmonies, enviable voices, irreverent lyrics, masterful musicianship and energetic onstage partnership. Both longtime musicians from the Bay Area, Josh and Teal met at a blues jam in San Rafael. Teal, who's racked up Gold and Platinum records for singing on Third Eye Blind and Shanice records, is a charismatic, powerful singer who cites Led Zeppelin one of the bands to have influenced her most; guitar ace Josh wears his heart on his sleeve for AC/DC, and recorded two albums with his mid-90s post-grunge metal band, Protein. They formed The Mother Truckers, got married a couple years after that, and kicked around San Francisco and environs for about 4 years total before deciding to pack it up and head to Austin in 2005. There they met Ray Benson (Asleep At The Wheel) who was so impressed with TMT that he worked with them recording Broke, Not Broken. According to Benson, 'Teal and Josh are not only GREAT singers but also write some of the cleverest and most original songs around. I've played their music for musician friends of mine here in Texas, including Willie Nelson, and they all agree: The ...
