Shooter Jennings is the son of Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, but his brand of outlaw country has more in common with Kid Rock:his third album, THE WOLF, is barrel-chested country rock for the Big 'N' Rich generation. A revved-up take on Dire Straits' "Walk of Life" is the album's one cover, while Jennings's originals range from the epic story song, "A Matter of Time," to the wry "Time Management 101," a stomping country-rocker out of the Hank Williams Jr. stylebook.

Shooter Jennings although known only as Waylon's son, has amazing ability. His 3rd album proofs he is amazing keeping outlaw country alive this cd deserves airtime on the radio and t.v.

Shooter's third studio album is by far the best. His musical ability has grown and improved over the last couple of years. His writing has gotten more personal. The songs on here are easier for the general public to identify with. Tangled Up Roses is a "must download" and hopefully it will be a single. All the songs on The Wolf are single material and very radio playable. If you don't have this album yet, go buy it today!!!!!!!

Bay area ska-punks Operation Ivy can't be blamed for the legion of pale imitators that followed in their wake.
