Off The Shelves CD music
$18.79 This CD contains B.B. King's first ABC-Paramount studio efforts -- Mr. Blues (1962) and Confessin' the Blues (1965), respectively. While there are inevitable similarities between the projects, offering them back-to-back allows listeners an acute sense of King's rapid maturation and development during what was by all accounts the nexus of the guitarist/vocalist's career. The dozen-song Mr. Blues was a haphazard start for King with the contents taken from three different ...
| | Frog Holler Idiots CD (2001)
Off The Shelves music CDs
$15.19 James Carville wasn't kidding when described Pennsylvania as Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh in the west, and Alabama in between. For the most part, Pennsylvania is the essence of Middle America -- travel a few hours outside of Philly to the rural Pennsylvania Dutch Country, and you feel like you're in the Heartland. So it really isn't all that surprising that an alternative country-rock/no depression band as good as Frog Holler would come out of Berks Country, PA, which is only two counties away from Philadelphia County. Like a lot of country releases, Frog Holler's third album, Idiots, is full of songs about life in small-town America. But to their credit, Frog Holler's members don't pretend ...

Off The Shelves music CDs
$12.89 Yukka is a pop band of four people who have been making music together since 1995. Nowadays, the band is being compared with various groups including The Stereophonics, Paul Weller and The Afghan Whigs. This diversity shows that Yukka can't be easily categorized. Its own identity has always been important. No consessions, no pretentions, just play the music that feels right. On stage, Yukka wil bring an intense performance, containing both intimate and explosive moments. Meanwhile, the band has done over a hundred live shows, festivals, radio and television performances. In 2005, the band releases the CD 'Still'. Two years before this, the CD 'It Isn't Safe' has been released. From this CD Yukka released a single and video. This video has been broadcasted at MTV Holland and The Box. | | Kamilah Haynes God's Child CD (2006)
Off The Shelves songs
$18.95 If ever there was an artist who encompassed pure talent, passion, and true musicianship, it would be Kamilah Haynes. This dynamic and anointed songstress has developed a unique style that she can certainly coin as her own. Born in Toledo, Ohio, but raised in Detroit, Michigan, music was a very significant part of her life. The eldest of three children, Kamilah often sang with her sisters, and even formed an acapella singing group that consisted of herself, her sisters and a few childhood friends. Musically influenced by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Fred Hammond, Kim Burrell and CeCe Winans, there was never a doubt in her mind that music was her calling. Kamilah spent time further cultivating her love of music, excelling in violin and piano throughout much of her adolescence and among the fruits of her labor was a B.A. in Music from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Her talents have definitely made room for her. In addition ...
| | Harii Bandhu Goddess CD (2006)
Off The Shelves album
$18.99 When I walked in to Geir Gunnarsson's life neither of us anticipated that our time together would bear such fruit. Destiny plays an extremely straight faced poker game. You can never guess her hand. (You can read more about Geir's perspective of our meeting on hariibandhu ) Few of us, it seems, ever end up exactly where we suspect we will be. We only have to think back upon our childhood, remember our thoughts pondering our future, and compare that vision with our present day reality, to see that the cards destiny held then, might have been very different from the one's we thought we saw. Yet sometimes, as we become aware of conscious choice, we begin to see the direct consequences that desire and focused intent can have on our respective paths.I had no inkling of whom I was going to meet when I left Melbourne in 2002. My relationship had ended. I'd quit my job. I had $100 in my pocket. I'd joined a band and we were off to Canberra to write and record an album. New beginnings. Trepidation. Fear. And a singular desire to keep moving forward musically, no matter what. I didn't know Geir would appear but I remember desiring strongly to meet someone like him. The band decided to proceed without me. Yet I met Geir through them. His influence has been profound; as have the people and experiences that have inspired all these songs or manouvered events to allow their creation and harvest. Creation? Harvest? Nurturing? Healing? Aren't these aspects of the Goddess? Hmmm. Now that's food for thought. Where will all this lead? I have no idea. Will I be performing and writing when I'm a doddery old fool? I hope so. I desire that. One thing's for sure. Where I'll be is where I deserve to be. Destiny or desire? I'll tell you on my death bed. Or maybe I won't because I just might be singing. Now wouldn't that be a good way to go?___'Goddess' is finally here. The actual recording process was one of the most intense projects that I've ever participated in. Then, as fate would have it, a barrage of obstacles ensued, to continually delay the release date. Yet here she is; warts and all. As you may or may not realise, many individuals have been involved, both directly and indirectly, in the process of completing 'Goddess'. The official 'Thank You' page denotes these dear individuals, however, if your name is not there, then kindly note my sincere affectionate gratitude for being on my path. It would seem that the grandiose promise on my last album, 'Inner Mystical Sound', to produce a vast quantity of recorded material, has proved to be much hot air. This is unfortunately, ...
