i was very happy to see this new robotech story, "Robotech the shadow chronicles" is a great anime, with great pictures, and a beautiful music.. I LOVE !

awesome but leaves some to be desired
I loved the shadow chronicles. I thought that the animation was top notch. The story was awesome too. But I do have a few comments. Captain Grant was super. Maya was cool and Alex was perhaps the most down to earth character, no point intented
As a diehard fan of robotech however, I was dissappointed in the snippits of Rick Hunter they offered. What happened to Lisa Hayes. You can't forget about her besides wasn't she the one who was assigned the deep space mission in the first place? They could have done more with SDF 3. Lastly, I felt that the shadow chronicles was rushed. I only say this because I'm used to the episodes and things being drawn out. Shadow Chronicles had the potential to be a full series

Great Sci-fi epic
This is my favorite animated film this year so far. I wish I could have seen it when it was in Selected theaters. Most awe inspireing and true to sci-fi as a movie goer can expect. Heck, this anime movie rocks.

Sci-fi at its best
Robotech is a very widely known franchise. And this story continues the sci-fi epic in a very well created movie. This film was shown in selected theaters around the U.S. and Japan. The movie features some of the best japenese anime combined with beutiful japenese CGI around. It has also won the 2006 international sci-fi and horror film awards as the best animated feature film. Along with many nominations and selections too. The movie lives well up to the leagacy of Robotech. And can all the more be a great sci-fi film for the average viewer. This is Star Wars with a realistic twist for newbys and a great continueing epic film for true hard core fans(U.P.F.'s). Many of which wish for more movies/telivision films to continue the story in the years to come. But, even if their is no sequel the ending still leaves many with a satisfying hope for the people of earth. Or does it? Your just going to have to watch it and find out.

I WANT MORE!!!!!!!!
After waiting twenty long years to find out what happened to Rick Hunter the mystery still continues. I wasn't disappointed though with what they did. This feels like a set-up for a new series which they should do now. If a person gets this it won't be half bad.
