| | Tracy Byrd Super Hits CD Tracy Byrd Discography of CDs
(1 Customer Review)
It may be brief, but this ten-song collection has all the essential hits from Tracy Byrd's career, including dancefloor favorites "Watermelon Crawl" and the everybody-knows-it "Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo," and lesser-known singles like the amusing "How'd I Wind Up in Jamaica." That's it, though, just the hits and nothing more, which will be fine for some folks but a bit thin for those wanting a deeper look at Byrd's work. ~ Steve Leggett

Super Hits album
$12.19 All tracks have been digitally mastered using HDCD technology.
Although Toby Keith was a regular resident of the Billboard country charts for nearly 10 years before the release of 2002's UNLEASHED, it was that album and its attendant pro-Iraq War anthem, "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)," that catapulted him to genuine superstar status. The Oklahoma-born singer is often criticized for his politically conservative beliefs, but one listen to GREATEST HITS 2 will make it hard for any listener to resist Keith's warm, commanding baritone, dance-floor-ready neo-traditionalist rhythms, and sharp songwriting.
Though it doesn't present anything from Keith's massively popular 2003 record SHOCK'N Y'ALL, the disc does collect many of the best moments from UNLEASHED, PULL MY CHAIN, and HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW. The compilation also adds several newly recorded songs and features high-spirited live versions of early hits "Should've Been a Cowboy," and "You Ain't Much Fun." Other highlights include "Beer for My Horses," a staunchly right-wing Willie Nelson duet, and "Stays in Mexico," a freewheeling examination of marital infidelities. A representative overview ...
| | Craig Morgan Little Bit Of Life CD (2006)
Super Hits CD music
$8.15 In 2006, country singer Craig Morgan followed up his highly successful album MY KIND OF LIVIN' with LITTLE BIT OF LIFE. Like its predecessor, LIFE finds the Tennessee native celebrating simple pleasures, most notably on the amiable title track. Other highlights of the record include "International Harvester," a stomping ode ...
| | Tim Mcgraw Let It Go CD (2007)
Super Hits music CDs
$16.05 On his first album in nearly three years, Tim McGraw delivers more of the rock-influenced country that has made him one of Nashville's biggest stars, but in a more reflective, at times almost somber, mood. The title track sets a tone of heartbreak and unspecified desperation that's amplified through the album's other 12 songs. Even the traditional duet with McGraw's wife, the eternally sunny Faith Hill, is darker than usual: "I Need You" flirts with themes of addiction and helplessness, as does the rock-edged "Between the River and Me." In this context, the album's first track and leadoff single, the Big Kenny co-write "Last Dollar (Fly Away)," has a slightly weary vibe underscoring its good-times surfaces. Other highlights include the ...
| | Martina Mcbride Waking Up Laughing CD (2007)
Super Hits songs
$8.49 Martina McBride is one of the most reliable female performers in country music. Her bright, sunny twang-filled albums have been appearing on the charts since she first arrived on the scene in 1992. On her ninth studio album, WAKING UP LAUGHING, McBride continues to mine a slick, honky-tonk-tinged pop vibe that expertly splits the difference between commercial anthems ("How I Feel") and slightly tougher material ("Cry Cry [Til the Sun Shines]"). With her nearly flawless voice fully intact, McBride also co-produced and wrote several songs on the album--including the smash single "Anyway" and the harrowing, yet oddly sunny-sounding tale of hard times, "Beautiful Again"--making it perhaps the most personal album of her career.
Composer: Jonathan Yudkin.
Personnel: Martina McBride (vocals); Keith Urban (guitar, background vocals); Biff Watson (acoustic guitar); Dann Huff (electric guitar); Jonathan Yudkin (mandolin, strings); Connie Ellisor, Karen Winkelmann, Elisabeth K. Small, Stefan Petrescu, Mary Kathryn Vanosdale, Bruce Wethey, Carl Gorodetzky, Pamela Sixfin, David Davidson ...
| | Toby Keith Big Dog Daddy CD (2007)
Super Hits album
$9.99 BIG DOG DADDY is the first album that Toby Keith wrote and produced on his own, and it features a harder edge than most of his previous records, closer to the country-rock of the Big and Rich axis than the neo-traditionalist crowd. In fact, BIG DOG DADDY seems like a sort of mid-career reset, a canny move for a country singer who sees musical trends changing on the horizon. Social trends as well: one song, "Love Me If You Can," obliquely addresses the uproar over Keith's political statements concerning the global war on terror; in the album's press materials, Keith is careful to claim allegiance to ...

$25.35 I have always had a strong feeling for the more recent Great American Song Book. A recital in London on May 2006 gave me the opportunity to put together a whole programme of songs by friends, and composers I have admired. The concert was a great success, and so we decided to record it onto CD - hence ...
