JUNCLASSIC: Scholastic Street DwellerJunclassic (pronounced June Classic) is an emcee whose capabilities lie deeply rooted in a multisyllable flow, versatile and varying cadences, and an unabashed emotional depth that many artists carefully avoid as a result of Hip Hop’s ubiquitously superficial machismo. Add to that a forceful delivery entrenched in a raspy baritone that echoes both triumph and tragedy and you have a multitalented free spirit with a lot on his mind and a willingness to share it all with the listener.Jun is the product of two hard-working Jamaican parents who inhabited the infamous Southside, Jamaica, Queens in the mid-70s. The despair of drugs and violence coexisted with his amazing academic achievements, allowing this young emcee the rare opportunity to experience the best and worst of both worlds. Rhyming seriously since the age of 17, Jun was beating on cafeteria tables and trying to impress the homies and pretty young ladies of high school. He quickly realized the necessity of stinging punchlines and a smooth yet bouncy flow that would leave crowds hypnotized and salivating for more. Junclassic is simply an emcee’s emcee, spitting creative punchlines and rhyming on various topics. Having survived the hardship of police harassment, an unfortunately common occurrence in Southside Queens, years of doing dirt, and finally racial subjugation as the result of tumultuous experiences at NYU, Junclassic gets deep and descriptive. Hitting up the open mic circuit since the new millennium, Jun has ran through Club Cheetah, demolished Demerrara, chewed up the China Club, and rocked at the weekly event End Of The Weak in the L.E.S, to name a few spots. His stage show explodes in unbdridled energy, “The crowd does what the emcee does. So if you just standing there, how are they supposed to be enthused to move?” Due to the bad politics of past producers, Junclassic has taken up production, insisting on creating music without the crutch of samples. Although this is a somewhat new area for the Southside emcee (its been a year plus since the keyboard purchase) his prowess at the keyboard grows exponentially. Now all he needs in the ear of the people. Junclassic 2 Much Aint Enuff Songs | 1. | End The Beginning |

2 Much Aint Enuff CD music
$7.99 Northwest Oregon native Axent may have taken a long and winding path to the release of his debut album titled “One Thing In My Mind,” but one thing is clear: He has arrived. After graduating from Oregon State University with a degree in business management and marketing at the age of 22 he began pursuing a career in music even though he had never wrote a song in his life. As he put it “Music had always played a big part in my life and I fell in love with hip hop at a young age. Somehow I just knew I could do it and do it well. One day, I think I was about 19, I just decided to start writing freestyle rhymes for fun in class. Soon I was writing to industry beats and recording verses on cassette tapes. Eventually I hooked up with my homey T-Bo, who gave me some beats to write to. Soon after I bought a mic and a Roland digital recording studio and started doing my thing .”In 2004, a humble but confident Axent began laying down his first studio recordings at Lost Studios in Portland with the help of engineer Tom Ripper. In just over a year and a half he had recorded more than 25 songs at the studio before deciding to build his own home recording studio. “I learned to record, produce and mix on my own. I wanted to be able to do it all. Not to mention I could make new music at my convenience and a faster pace.” True to his words, in the summer of 2006 Joshua Grossman (aka “Axe”) created JMG Records and began recording his debut album “One Thing In My Mind” in addition to working full-time at a local radio station conglomerate. Along the way, Axe learned the ins and outs of engineering and mixing by both educating himself through reputable sources and trial and error. In the end, he hopes the countless hours he spent preparing “One Thing In My Mind” for distribution will result in a much smoother start-to-finish process in the future, hopefully enabling him to eventually sign and record additional artists to JMG Records. As an artist, Axent blends a unique and witty writing style with his versatile rhymes and seamless flows based on a variety of subjects, stories and life experiences. He is truly a lyricist, a rapper with substance. Axent’s goal is to make quality music with relevant themes and content, whether clean, explicit, ...
