Autumn Of The Seraphs album
$14.44 With The Fall, Norah Jones completes the transition away from her smooth cabaret beginnings and toward a mellowly arty, modern singer/songwriter. Jones began this shift on 2007's Not Too Late, an album that gently rejected her tendencies for lulling, tasteful crooning, but The Fall is a stronger, more cohesive work, maintaining an elegantly dreamy state that's faithful to the crooner of Come Away with Me while feeling decidedly less classicist. Some of this could be attributed to Jones' choice of producer, Jacquire King, best-known for his work ...
| | John Mayer Battle Studies CD (2009)
Autumn Of The Seraphs CD music
$11.18 It's no secret that John Mayer is a 21st Century Fox, wining and dining women all through tabloid headlines, so it's about time he delivered an album that traded upon his loverman persona -- and Battle Studies is that record in spades. Retaining more than a modicum of the slick, soul-blues undertones of Continuum, Mayer fashions a modern groove album, a record that maintains a smooth seductive vibe so thoroughly it spills into a one-man band cover of "Crossroads." Mayer remains somewhat of a disciple of Slowhand, but he shows an unusual ...

| | Leona Lewis Echo CD (2009)
Autumn Of The Seraphs album
$11.18 The goal of Leona Lewis' 2007 debut, Spirit, was to prove that an X Factor winner could be a phenomenon not just in the U.K., but in the rest of the world. The goal of her second album, 2009's Echo, is to prove that success was no fluke, to build upon "Bleeding Love" and turn Lewis into an actual diva. Certainly, Echo in any of its incarnations -- its song listings are tailored for individual markets, with the U.K. getting a cover of Oasis' "Stop Crying Your Heart Out," while the U.S. ...

Autumn Of The Seraphs album
$15.19 The Blanks are (in alphabetical order) Sam Lloyd, Philip McNiven, George Miserlis and Paul F. Perry. Here is their tale: Sam, George and Paul met as students at Syracuse University. Then they moved to Los Angeles (not together and not at the same time so don't get any ideas) where they met Philip. Philip told them he was from Canada. He lied. He was born in Philadelphia. But they all liked to sing, so they did. Sadly, no one heard them so they couldn't prove it. Some years later Sam got on a TV show. "Let's sing at the Christmas Party for the TV show I got on," said Sam. "Okay!" said the others. And they did. They sang their famous version of the John Williams Superman Movie Theme with original lyrics by Paul. (A song that is not included on their CD because the company that owns the rights to the song is very mean.) The producers from the TV show that Sam got on said, "That was cool! We'll put your group on the show!" Sam, George and Paul said, "Great!" Philip said, "Eh." After being on the TV show a few times, George said, "Let's make a CD." Paul and Sam said, "Okay!" And Philip said, "Eh" again, but he was still born in Philadelphia. They worked their butts off for a long time (they look strange from behind) and produced the best CD they could. It included all the songs that they had performed on Scrubs up to that time, some personal favorites, a few originals and some "candid" recordings of the cast members and creator of the show. "Let's sell it on CDBaby.com, eh!" someone said (I think we know who), and they did.THE ENDTHE BLANKS' PLEDGE: Except for talking ...
| | Ampersand Schadenfreude Blue CD (2004)
Autumn Of The Seraphs CD music
$18.99 Location : London, UK.... Song-writer Adam Ritchie switches off the radio. He's heard enough. Or more to the point, he hasn't heard anything. The same old songs to the same old beats, with (ultimately) the same old dance routines. Everything begins to sound...tiresome. VERY tiresome....Armed with a hatful of songs, Adam decides to do something. The songs have spent enough time sitting in Adam's head. The Classified Adverts are scanned, desperately searching the music papers for THAT advert that says : I'M HERE. But there's nothing. Enough wanna-be Managers though. Makes you wonder who actually makes the money in 'Music Land'....Switch on the TV. More perfect examples of Media Manipulation. Crass attempts at lurid headlines, designed to keep the 'masses' "On-Message". Adam sighs. The pictures of war, famine, loss, society, even the way people treat each other for Christ's sake, have all left him numb. Acclimatised. Resigned. An ironic schadenfreude moment of self-realisation. But it leaves Adam feeling.....blue. And still the songs are there in Adam's head, itching to get out....Do something else. Switch on the internet. Divert your attention. Buy a classic DVD, search for THAT vinyl record to complete THAT collection, look for an example of an accountable government. Wait a minute. Best make that a search for the vinyl record or classic DVD. Finding an actual government committed to 'democracy'....?? No chance.......Ah yes, e-bay. Why not? You can find just about anything there. (Except democracy, of course...) Adam stops for a moment. A thought hits him. What about a mini recording studio?? Do the songs himself!! ...
| | Virgo Degan Lovin' You: The Remixes CD (2005)
Autumn Of The Seraphs music CDs
$8.49 Virgo Degan brings you a pitch-perfect, unforgettable rendition of Minnie Riperton’s torch classic “Lovin’ You”, remixed for modern dance-floors by today’s top producers. Virgo’s new version of “Lovin’ You” is an energizing, contemporary take on Riperton’s soulful anthem. Virgo cites Riperton’s music as his biggest childhood influence as a singer, and his latest single serves as his personal acknowledgment to the artist who has most inspired him. Riperton passed away from breast cancer in 1978 at the young age of 31. Fittingly, Virgo is donating proceeds from sales of this single to the Minnie Riperton Breast Cancer Fund as a tribute to the original artist. “Lovin’ You” has already generated considerable early buzz from a special pre-release edit that received airplay months before the single’s official release, on XM Satellite Radio’s Ultra Dance channel and Los Angeles’s Indie 103.1, KDLE and 88.9, KXLU FM to promote National Cancer Awareness Month in October, 2005. The “Lovin’ You” maxi-single includes five sensational and electrifying remixes by some of the best up-and-coming DJs/producers in the country: Qubiq (Heaven 17’s “Hands Up to Heaven”, Jackoff Bastards’ “Black Leather”), FunkFusion (Fatboy Slim pres. RED’s “Release the Pressure”, Rosie Gaines’ “Closer Than Close 2005”) and infamous underground remixer Snatch Nubie, for whom “Lovin’ You” represents his second officially-sanctioned release. Virgo’s unique ability to hit perfect high notes and his almost eight-octave range has already garnered him significant ...

Autumn Of The Seraphs CD music
$13.29 A MISSIVE FROM THE LOUNGE-O-LEERSAh, yes. We remember it well. It seems like only yesterday when we first made a splash at the weekly ballroom dance mixer held in the Dexter, NM Oddfellows Hall...and shortly thereafter released our 45 single of “Sway” b/w “The Magnificent Seven Cha Cha”, the sensation of the 1964 Southwest Regionals of the Rhythm Latin Dance Competition. It was there that we were officially discovered, and we soon found ourselves a staple on the prestigious Howard Johnson’s circuit. Along the way, the greats who found their way to the HJ lounge in whatever town they might be in...Sammy, Twiggy, Jimi, Jackie, the Hef and the rest...quickly made our early 45s and phonograph albums cult classics. As always, these cuts were recorded completely live...they are just as you’d hear them if we were playing in your living room, warts and all. Of course, all our recordings benefit from the artistry of our fab engineer, Chip Fabrizi, plus guest artists on some cuts (gal-pal Dale Fabrizi and our bud Kocoa) adding extra dimension to our live sound. Finally, you too can groove to our long out-of-print, classic recording from the ‘sixties... The Lounge-O-Leers ‘68, featuring our most-requested hits from 1966-68. Of course, you also get our hard-to-find singles, as ...
