A native of Portland, OR, Marc Peter was the lead singer and one of the principle songwriters for the band Ebb Tide, which disbanded in 2000. He then continued to pursue music on his own until mid-2006, at which time he reunited with some former Ebb Tide band mates to form new band, Echelon. However, only a year later, Peter left Echelon to focus on his education and growing family.Marc Peter can be seen performing from time to time in the Portland-metro area at coffee houses, pubs and other small, intimate venues. Of his specific brand of Pop/Folk Peter says his main influences are artists like Coldplay, Switchfoot, Jars of Clay, Emmylou Harris, and Lisa Loeb.
