| | J Walkers All We Can Do CD - Import J Walkers Discography of CDs
J-Walkers were formed in 2006 by Capri’s Benson Walker (Bass/Vocals) and The New Mastersounds’ Joe Tatton (Keyboards/Vocals) as an outlet for music they’d both written which wouldn’t fit the styles of their current bands.Drummer, Andy Marshall (Haggis Horns) and guitarist Jonny Flockton (Hard Time Orchestra) soon joined, which led to the creation of the debut album ‘All We Can Do’.The album is a semi-autobiographical journey of the songwriters with often fantastical and tongue-in-cheek results (telephone conversations with Al Capone and Pope JP II). Musical styles included on the album range from soul, funk and country to progressive/alternative rock. J-Walkers, as a band, are influenced by such artists/groups as Little Feat, Average White Band, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Robert Palmer, Allen Toussaint and Ray Charles.Plans for future J-Walkers releases are already in the pipeline due to the creative flow of the band and demands from their popular and enigmatic live performances, which have got the music press and industry buzzing. A debut single from ‘All We Can Do’ is planned for release in the New Year. J Walkers All We Can Do Songs | 1. | When I Got You In My Life |

All We Can Do album
$11.19 Released without the usual flurry of hype, Before I Self Destruct fulfills 50 Cent's contractual obligation to the Interscope label. It also doubles as a throwback album, returning the rapper to the hunger and hatred of his early mixtapes while skillfully recasting him as a wannabe upstart. That is, for the most part. The four radio-friendly bedroom numbers that conclude the album are out of place but fairly good to dime-piece beautiful, with the best being ...

All We Can Do music CDs
$17.69 A spin of Sam Payne's "Railroad Blessing" is like walking into a party--everyone stops to look, all itching to talk to you (it's why they came, after all). It's quite a crew, too. And with a menu like this, who's gonna be first? There's an American astronaut, fresh from five months aboard the doomed Space Station Mir. Space was great, but it's lonely up there. There's Erik Weihenmayer, the first blind climber to summit Everest. Some think that sort of a climb is something like marriage. Other's think it's more like rehab.Or what about that old guy in the corner? His son is suiting up for war. Dad's a patriot, but he prays that the country won't squander that young life. It's the biggest gift the old man can give, after all.The girl by the window was just given the brush-off by a guy in the woods who used the old "I'd marry you but I've actually been raised from a baby to be a sacrifice to Mother Earth to ensure a bountiful harvest" line. She's thinking about going back to him anyway. Those two talking in solemn tones at the table are twins. Used to hate each other. Their names are Jacob and Esau. There's a table full of priests, frowning as they watch ...
| | Holly & Jon Big Wind On The Way CD (2006)
All We Can Do songs
$11.39 These Canadian blues/roots recording artists hail from the mountains of southern British Columbia – the Kootenays, to be exact – and you’ll be hard pressed to find another daughter/father duo with as much going for them as these two. Not only do they compliment each other with their playing and singing (Jon’s blues drenched guitar with Holly’s stellar vocal chops) but they write great songs together; and those vocal harmonies are the kind that can only be achieved by members of the same gene pool. The story of how Jon discovered Holly’s inherent vocal abilities is one he loves to tell. “We were living in a one room cabin on a mountain side on the east shore of Kootenay Lake when Holly was about 4 or 5 years old. It was around Christmas time and I was sitting at the kitchen table strumming my guitar when Holly started to hum a melody along with the chords I was playing. It sounded real good and she was right on key. I changed keys a few times to see if she would follow me. She did. It was the best Christmas present I could receive – finding out that my daughter had been bestowed with the gift of music. I knew it was something we should work to develop”.And develop it they certainly did. Just listen to the blues feel and jazz phrasing that Holly uses on ‘Train Wreck blues’ from their album ‘Big Wind on the way’, or her blues mama approach to ‘I’m a woman’ from the same album. You don’t learn to sing this way. You’re born with it.When it came time to for Holly and Jon to ...
| | Donna Washington Troubling Trouble CD (2007)
All We Can Do album
$17.09 Donna was born an army brat in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She traveled all over with world with her parents. Her father would sit at the dinner table and spin the wildest yarns imaginable. He taught her Arthurian Legend and Greek Mythology by telling the stories in the first person. She thought he had actually been with Merlin and Oedipus. She thought he was thousands of years old. Donna spent from second to sixth grade in Seoul Korea. It was during these years that her parents adopted three Amerasian children. Through it all, she learned about different people, places and of course, learned their stories. Donna attended Northwestern University and was involved with numerous theatrical productions. It was at this time that storytelling reemerged as something she wanted to learn more about. In the four years she was there, she began to make storytelling a central part of her performance life. Her first recording work was done with Warren Coleman Productions. She provided the talent on a storytelling tape that was so successful for Children’s Press that the tape was used to make four wordless picture books. It was at this time that Donna began writing books. Her first writing project was an anthology. It had been in the works for almost twelve years. A Pride of African Tales was released in December 2003. Award winning illustrator, James Ransome provided the lush watercolor pictures for the book. It received rave reviews from the American Library Association (ALA) Booklist and the School Library Journal. Pride was nominated for the Pennsylvania 2005-2006 Young Reader’s Choice Award Donna’s ...
