| ANOTHER GOOD ALBUM FROM PHIL...
ACTUALLY, PROBABLY CLOSER TO 5 STARS... I'VE BEEN A FAN OF PHIL COLLINS ALL ALONG. I CONSIDER HIM ONE OF THE GREATEST WRITERS, DRUMMERS, AND UNIQUE SINGERS OF ALL 'CLASSIC ROCK'-PLUS- TIMES! I'M VERY GLAD I CAME ACROSS THIS ALBUM AT 'CDU' AND ADDED IT TO MY COLLECTION. I WROTE TO HIM ONCE, IN A COMPLIMENTARY WAY, AND HE WAS KIND ENOUGH TO WRITE BACK, INCLUDING AN AUTOGRAPHED PICTURE, FROM ENGLAND...IT WAS EXCITING! GREAT SONGS, MUSIC...GREAT LYRICS...IF YOU'RE A FAN YOU'LL WANT TO ADD THIS ONE TO YOUR COLLECTION!

| It's OK . . .
As a longtime Genesis/Collins fan, I was surprised to hear Phil entering into Peter Gabriel/Paul Simon territory musically. Gabriel/Simon simply do it better. Several songs show his strength in writing about love & heartache, but the experimentation in African rhythms are a stretch.

| A MUST HAVE!
Somehow with all the unnecessary anti-Phil sentiments in the press, this man's music has been severely overlooked, particularly the heartache of his 1993 masterpiece "Both Sides" and this 1996 collection of African rhythm-inspired numbers, plus a few tributes to the 1960's pop of the Hollies and early Beatles. Especially now, it floors me how ignored this album was at the time of it's release....tracks like River So Wide, Love Police, and The Same Moon are by far and away some of Collins' best work. The album's inspired, melodic, but most of all downright funky. If you missed it the first time around, be sure to revisit it now....well worth it!!!!!
