Garbage songs
$10.49 There's no shortage of legendary producers in line to work with music world titans U2; when work with Rick Rubin broke off, Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois stepped in. The resulting NO LINE ON THE HORIZON, 2009's offering from the Irish rockers, continues in the grand U2 tradition, as soaring pop anthems like opening single "Get on Your Boots" pair with experimental melanges like "Tripoli," on a striking album featuring touches of all the albums come before, yet hinting at new worlds for Bono to conquer.
After spending the 1990s experimenting with electronic music and returning to arena-ready rock during the first few years of the 21st century, U2 stakes out territory somewhere between those two points on 2009's NO LINE ON THE HORIZON. ...

Garbage album
$8.39 Jon Zucker, a singer-songwriter who grew up in New York City and now lives in Los Angeles, makes the kind of music that is reminiscent of Coldplay, John Mayer, and The Fray. He is as comfortable crooning at the grand piano as he is jamming out on guitar. Before moving to the West coast, Jon was a regular at Manhattan's famed club, The Cutting Room, which has hosted such legends as James Blunt, Sheryl Crow and Carole King. Jon still plays there several times a year when touring the East coast. After a year of touring and promoting his April Rain EP, Jon went on to make the record that reflects his maturity as a singer-songwriter. During a fateful visit to San Diego, Jon made the acquaintance of producer Alan Sanderson, who, having worked with artists like the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Elvis Costello and Fiona Apple, has a wall full of gold and platinum records. The two hit it off like old chums, and Alan, who is used to dealing with major label artists, decided he would take on this project as a labor ...

But the band's catchy songwriting is only part of what people like. DDJ also delivers a high-energy live show that's second to none!a 'made-for-TV' visual performance. | | Behold CD (2007)
Garbage songs
$13.29 Behold - The RecordBlistering blues-based guitar riffs that shimmer into cool jazz, heat up with country and salsa, and melt into a post-modern resonance, the album Behold unapologetically floats beyond a world of simple styles and descriptors. Loaded with Beatles-esque harmonies, hypnotic bass lines, and existential lyrics, the record harkens back to a psychedelic age of a cohesive concept album heard through stereo headphones. The band draw on their many influences and display their proficiency on tracks that sound like the Great American Song Book. Movie score landscapes (Granada) and anthemic country rock songs (Promise Me) reflect the audio stylings of their hometown of Los Angeles, while punk rock and alternative influences erupt through their music school tendencies (Ecce Homo, Inferno), Hard rocking american and british blues (Absinthe, Song A) give way to cool jazz and modal styles (Eve, Del Mar) to create one of the most unique albums to be recently released. Behold sets a musical standard that is unparalleled by any other modern group, while maintaining a sexy and unique voice that shows no equal.Behold - The BandOut of the spirit of music, art, and intoxication Behold began their musical explorations under the name Ecce in late 2004 (ecce is the latin imperative of behold). Founded by philosophy grad and music aficionado James Jeffery Caldwell, Jefe, the group was booked to play performances before they had officially existed. Jefe had recorded a demo of songs with drummer Adam Zuckert (F-minus, Red 5, Matt Costa) written over previous years during wandering thoughts in college classes. The demo generated interest from booking promoters and agents and soon landed gigs, sans an actual band. In a hurry to find competent musicians, an ad placed on Craig's List found guitarist Chris Peterson, a studio musician recently moved from Boston where he had graduated from Berklee University. Peterson's virtuoso handling of guitar through uniquely american music styles meshed brilliantly with the more punk and alternative rhythm guitar ...
| | Robert Goldstick Piano Magic And Musical Memories Vol 2 CD (2007)
Garbage album
$18.95 This CD presents solo piano music at its finest. After many years of playing dinner music, Robert has found that a combination of simplicity with a touch of complexity works wonders on a grand piano to create a serene atmosphere. He often simply states the melody and lets the song and the piano speak for themselves. Then he adds his own interpretation, sometimes with a flair in the tradition of Eddie Duchin, Roger Williams, or Liberace. The combined effect is a CD full of beautiful music that will help pass the time with pleasant images and fond memories. These songs are particularly loved by our senior generation. Just hearing them often â€Ĺ"brings back the best memories” of their lives. But it has also been noted that all generations love and appreciate this style of music and so this CD helps to create a pleasant mood for folks of all ages. The music in this series of solo piano music, Piano Magic and Musical Memories, was chosen by PBS for their documentary on Alzheimer's disease, "The Forgetting", which aired January 21st, 2004. As part of their efforts they have a web site (http:// pbs. org/theforgetting/) for the purpose of assisting caregivers and patients with resources and information. Part of the web site is The Living Center, which is an interactive site and includes a "radio" for people to listen to music. They are using all of the public domain music from our Piano Magic and Musical Memories Series Volume 0, in addition to other public domain songs that are available on our web site ( heart-soul-music ). They have also listed us a major resource for musicians who want information on how to perform shows in nursing homes. Biography of the Artist - Robert Goldstick has been playing piano for 56 of his 64 years and has loved every minute of it. He started off taking lessons in classical music and moved on to rock ;n roll in high school, jazz in college and then back to rock ;n roll in his 30s when he became a full-time musician. As a solo player he has performed in hotels and restaurants around the world providing lush dinner music for patrons to enjoy. He developed a style that provides a clear statement of a melody while providing variations that add interest and excitement to every songHe gave up the restaurant and hotel business in 1993 when he discovered the incredible effect his music had on seniors in nursing homes and convalescent centers. This all started one day when he was meeting his daughter at a convalescent hospital in Santa Cruz, CA, and she suggested he play a song or two for the folks. The room was very quiet with people just passing the time, the way they do all day, every day. "At that time I was performing piano bar at the Mission Ranch in Carmel where one of the favorite songs of the older patrons was ‘I Can't Give You Anything But Love’, so I thought I'd try that. The change in the room was dramatic. It was a party. People started singing along, tapping their feet, clapping their hands. One fellow got out of his wheelchair and started to dance with a nurse. (I found out later he hadn't done that for over two years!) The music's effect was truly magical. This same scenario is repeated EVERY time I play a show - people sing, tap their feet, ...
| | Bradley Livin This Way CD (2008)
Garbage CD music
$12.15 The Bradley/McGillivray Blues Band is a group of seasoned pros who've spent the last 8 years blending blues, jazz, Motown and gospel into their own hip, soulful sound. Founded by vocalist Ruth McGillivray and guitarist Sheldon Bradley, this band is not just a collection of players, but a unit that listens, writes, records and performs together. Ruth's knock-you-flat vocals and Sheldon's tasty guitar are rounded out by an inventive rhythm section featuring bassist Paul Freeman, and drummer Hoto Parker.Through groove, improvisation and raw, unadulterated emotion, the Bradley/McGillivray Blues Band ("BMcG" for short) takes listeners on a journey rarely heard in today's image-driven music. They play with authenticity, whether it's an uptown jazz shuffle, gritty Mississippi blues, or New Orleans funk. Influenced by artists like Warren Haynes, Robben Ford, Susan Tedeschi, Janis Joplin and Etta James, they've built an impressive repertoire of original music and "twisted covers" (familiar tunes played in unfamiliar ways). There's no gimic or hype in a BMcG show--just smokin' music, passionate delivery, and cool, clever tunes. They're a band of music lovers connecting with an audience of music lovers, and everybody has a lot of fun...which probably ...
