Anne Murray's DUETS: FRIENDS AND LEGENDS is an anthology of 17 songs the Canadian country superstar has recorded over her career. The track list includes new versions of her own hits, such as "Danny's Song" with Martina McBride, "Daydream Believer" with Nelly Furtado, "Snowbird" with Sarah Brightman, "You Needed Me" with Shania Twain, and "A Little Good News" with the Indigo Girls. Murray also duets with stars like Dusty Springfield, Emmylou Harris, Celine Dion, and the Irish vocal group Celtic Woman.

This was the first time I had heard Anne Murray. The CD was not quite what I expected but I wasn't dissapointed. If you want to chill out and listen to a nice relaxing CD, then this is one for you.

NOT UPTO EXPECTATIONS
When I purchased this CD,I DID SO WITH GREAT HOPES,thinking that coupled with Anne Murray's inimitable style,the immense creditabilty of the duetting artists will make it one big CD.But I was soo disappointed when I GAVE IT A SPIN,It was very bland, and the accompaniment failed to get off the ground except in a few tracks like the NELLY FURTADO duet.BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.

this cd is one of annes best cd. the first 15 tracks are gems, The other tracks are good. anne as always doesnt dissapoint, theres something here for everyone. marc.

Before David Gilmour virtually "became" Pink Floyd he was always the most likely member of the band (with the possible exception of de-facto leader Roger Waters) to release a solo album. 1978's welcome eponymous debut showcased his multi-faceted performing talents.
The album opener "Mihalis" is an ANIMALS period instrumental, which, along with "Raise My Rent," sounds like an outtake from that album. The beautiful "There's No Way Out of Here" begins with a lonely harmonica and, with "No Way" and "I Can't Breathe Anymore," expounds the album's main theme of being trapped in an untenable situation.
