On the sixth season of AMERICAN IDOL, Blake Lewis raised eyebrows and adulation when he mixed a thorough knowledge of 1980s and '90s pop with beatboxing techniques and a charismatic presentation. AUDIO DAY DREAM, Blake's full-length debut, aptly captures the singer's eclectic approach, mixing in old-school hip-hop, pretty boy balladeering, back-to-the-'80s new wave rock, and groove-driven, blue-eyed soul. It's an odd and rather scattershot mix that doesn't always cohere, but it will certainly appeal to the legions of fans who adored him on AMERICAN IDOL.

Blake Lewis Audio Day Dream Songs Audio Day Dream Music Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews So-so Not what I was expecting. Every song seems to sound alike. Album gets boring after awhile. Submitted by hellerkatmar (Watertown,WI,USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Dust collector Ok... So I thought he was gonna blow us away on his first cd! oh well, maybe next time. Technology won out against musicality and what happens is a dull droning...track after track. Sure there are some cool beat box and recording wizard moments...but musically, this one left me bored and disapointed. This was my first Idol contestant music purchase, because Lewis stuck me as technically superior and his choices of music were interesting, I thought he would be able to mix the two and come up with a winner....not exactly so! I am sure sales will do fine based on his Idol fans. Submitted by Jazzin (Plant City, FL, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

GREAT! I absolutely love this album! I think it is one of the best American idol debut albums (besides Daughtry and Kelly. I loved Blake from the first time I heard him sing and was waiting for the day when he came out with his first CD. I thought that I might be a little disappointed by his CD but boy was I wrong!! Audio Day Dream music CDs
$18.05 Iron Maiden issued its fifth release, POWERSLAVE, in 1984. It was a time in which the band had become a worldwide arena-headlining sensation. The album was also the first to not have been marked by a lineup change, helping Maiden produce another metal classic.
While most other metal bands of the era were still singing about partying, Maiden continued to tackle some serious, thought-provoking subject matter. The band addresses the threat of nuclear war on "2 Minutes to Midnight," World War II-era fighter pilots in the album-opening "Aces High," and the demise of an Egyptian king in the title track. But the true highlight is the long and winding 13-and-a-half-minute epic "Rime of the Ancient Mariner," a track that does a great job of recreating the haunting imagery of the Samuel Taylor Coleridge tale. Once POWERSLAVE was released, Maiden undertook one of the longest rock tours in history, playing from August 1984 through July 1985.
Iron Maiden's music was evolving and growing with each successive release in the '80s; each album ...

Audio Day Dream music CDs
$9.35 "Stefanie Fix has that essential ability to present a concept or feeling in the most precise package possible, saying, to paraphrase an old quote, - the mostest, with the leastest - now that's the hallmark of good songwriting. Crooked Smile is a great masterpiece with its distinctive vocal drive duelled with thoughtful, and artful lyrics, glued with perfect production" ~Freddy Celis/Rootstime [Belgium]"Austin singer-songwriters, especially the women, have a bit of self-consciousness about them. It's road-well-traveled and tough to come close to what the best have done before. Fortunately, Fix doesn't seem the least bit intimidated and saunters forth with a solid sophomore effort that polishes her indie rock edge. Fix has a fine pop sensibility about her music ("Holy Shit, Ma," "Walking Shoes") tempered by experience, intelligence, and expressive vocals”. ~Margaret Moser/The Austin Chronicle[Austin, TX] "Stefanie Fix just oozed a smokey sexiness that reminded me of Ingrid Bergman in Gaslight or Anastasia -- just a little dangerous. Her songs reflect hard times and a ray of hope -- this is LATE NIGHT music that must not be played while wearing pastels. Color this music deep red, blue black, and shades of grey. ~Duggan Flanakin/Flanfire [Austin, TX]“The line-up alone should be enough to make you sit up and take notice, but when you add ace songwriting then you have a classy rock album.” ~ Alan Cackett/ U.K. Maverick Magazine"Stefanie Fix reminds me of Kate Bush in the same way she also reminds me of Melissa Etheridge. That's almost impossible, but there are moments on 'Crooked Smile' that she is able to combine the two. Heavenly pop and raw, roots-rock go hand in hand." ~Patrick Donders / Hanx Net [Sweden] Stefanie Fix creates haunting, sexy, sophisticated mod-rock with a lo-fi edge. Crooked Smiles offers up some of the most genuine songwriting you’ve heard in years and combines it with an equally emotive, musical landscape. It’s a refreshing reproach to the formulaic “sensitive” singer/songwriter, proving that emotional insight is possible without self-indulgence, sentimentality or cynicism.Crooked ...

$4.88 Formerly known as Plan b (This should scroll like a Star Wars intro)....From the quiet pastoral scenes of the foothills of North Carolina emerged a band that defied all traditional views of what a pop punk/powerpop band should be. GREATER THAN b....Don't call them the usual Don't call them boring and whatever you do....Do NOT call them pretty.Take a longwinded, overly lazy, Genius Songwriter "Q" (lead vocals/guitar), add the unassuming, dressed in a Food Lion shirt, sticks like lightning, Jamie (drums/backing vocals) and top it off with.... ...
