American III: Solitary Man CD music Cash at his best on American. Recordings of "U2's" One and Tom Petty's "I Wont Back Down" with Tom Petty are in my opinion better than the original recordings. Cash had the ability to make any song his own and proved it on this album, not happy sticking just to his own genre he also proves his versatilty with his recording of "I See a Darkness" made also to seem like its one of his own. Excellent.

Johnny Cash in American 1,2,3 is right up there on the very top, it dosen´t get any better than this.

| Great Stuff
This is top flight music. Cash's vocals are haunting and at times almost frightening. The way Cash interprets this music is a revelation. Serious stuff.
