| | Jason Elixir Ensemble Seed Where The Corners Meet CD Jason Elixir Ensemble Seed Discography of CDs
With members of the Chicago Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony and Present Music together with some of the the very best jazz and rock musicians the midwest has to offer The Jason Seed Elixir Ensemble is a unique phenomenon. More accurately experienced than explained, it is a truly unique sound that penetrates all genres and all audiences. But to give you an idea, glowing press reviews have noted influences ranging from Frank Zappa to Charles Mingus, Phish to Bartok, Bach to Mr Bungle. Combining elements of popular music spanning the last Century, as well as traditional folk influences from around the world, composer Jason Seed has indeed created an elixir that will refocus our modern interaction with, and appreciation of, intelligent music. The April 2007 release of Where the Corners Meet has already met with an overwhelming response, reinforcing Seed's suspicion that American audiences are seriously under-estimated.summed up in a word:RockedixieofunkenjazzabilliclassicadelicaRenowned Classical musicians playing alongside some of the midwest's best Jazz musicians to create the strangest rock band you've ever heard."...his ensembles feature some of the area's finest musicians, including top players from the Milwaukee and Chicago Symphony Orchestras, all atracted to the quality of his compositions" - Milwaukee Magazine"The scope of Where the Corners Meet is wide but Seed's imagination is even broader...some of the music echoes New Orleans other tracks recall the tricky changes of progressive rock, a great lost King Crimson track here, an eastern European violin power thrust there." - The Milwaukee Shepherd Express"Jason Seed, reminiscent at times of John Scofield, surveys the territory between electric rock and straight-ahead jazz."- L.A. Times "Jazz-prog samba sing-song with sax, a hep drummer, a nice mid-song Jeff Beck-style guitar solo and Jason Seed's smooth vocals make this a welcome side-trip on our mix. Desperate scale: 1 - He's a functioning professional musician who doesn't need all the hype crap." - SXSW Vinyl Mine (Austin)"Jason's music is part of the long continuum of contemporary creativity characterized by inventive impulses that are carefully rooted in both tradition and the future...manages to simultaneously recall both the grandeurs of Pink Floyd and the trioisms of Bill Frisell."- The Stranger (Seattle)"Seed combines everything from jazz, funk and rock to samba and classical in a highly unclassifiable and danceable psychedelic stew...Seed, at times, is largely reminiscent of Frank Zappa, with off-the-wall and obscurely humorous lyrics segueing into guitarwizardry." - Milwaukee Shepherd Express "Jason Seed is actively using his own voice and space. The skillful development and execution of his original material along with hisinterpretation of standards and current artists indicates the breadth of the musical palette at his command."- Todd Robinson, President of Luna Records (Indianapolis)Jason Seed - dots, stems, guitars, vocalsSam Monroe - drums, Glenn Asch - violin, violaHelen Reich - violaDoug Ebert - bassDan Armstrong - bassAaron Gardner - tenor sax, fluteJesse Sheehan - tenor sax, soprano saxMike Pauers - bari sax, alto fluteDan Zaffran - bari sax, clarinet, bass clarinetBill Helmers - clarinet Where The Corners Meet Music Jason Elixir Ensemble Seed Where The Corners Meet Songs | 1. | Your Song? |

| | U2 No Line On The Horizon CD (2009)
Where The Corners Meet songs
$10.49 There's no shortage of legendary producers in line to work with music world titans U2; when work with Rick Rubin broke off, Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois stepped in. The resulting NO LINE ON THE HORIZON, 2009's offering from the Irish rockers, continues in the grand U2 tradition, as soaring pop anthems like opening single "Get on Your Boots" pair with experimental melanges like "Tripoli," on a striking album featuring touches of all the albums come before, yet hinting at new worlds for Bono to conquer.
After spending the 1990s experimenting with electronic music and returning to arena-ready rock during the first few years of the 21st century, U2 stakes out territory somewhere between those two points on 2009's NO LINE ON THE HORIZON. Enlisting its go-to production trio of Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois, and Steve Lillywhite, the Irish quartet seems intent ...

| | Priscilla Queen Of The Desert Musical Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert: The Stage Musical CD (2006)
Where The Corners Meet CD music
$26.55 This is one of those albums. On the top of the insert it says "Relive the Experience" and then the logo for Priscilla: Queen of the Desert: The Musical, and then at the very bottom in small print it states, "Music Inspired by the Australian Stage Musical." Now this is curious, right? It's not the musical, not a cast recording, but a 39-cut anthology of tunes "inspired by" the musical. Impossible, since the vast majority of these songs, by people like Donna Summer, Petula Clark, Bananarama, Kool & the Gang, the Commodores, Peaches & Herb, Elvis Presley, Rose Royce and so many others were recorded decades before the musical. No truth in advertising here. That said, much of the musical was inspired by the experience of this music, and Priscilla ...
